    1080p is disappointing.

A high res screen on a laptop means you're running scaled all the time. More power consumption for the GPU, more power consumption for the panel backlight. Not convinced there's enough of benefit to justify the worse battery life and extra cost on a 14" screen at this price point. (edited)

Sorry but a 15 inch screen and integrated graphics make this a very average deal at best.

Struggling to find a better price for a 15 inch 12th Gen i7 laptop. Could you give me an example please?

Hot from me. 12th gen i7, 16gb ram, and brand new?

No backlit keyboard is the deal breaker for me.

I see the similar price and spec on Lenovo as well . https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/p/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-500-series/ideapad-5i-gen-7-(14-inch-intel)/82sd0053uk?orgRef=android-app%253A%252F%252Fcom.google.android.gm%252F&bc_pid=ODJTRDAwNTNVSw%3D%3D&CID=uk%3Aemail%3Atey2va&rrid=400822725&variant_id=variant_a&run_key=ag9zfnRyaWdnZXJlZG1haWxyIwsSFlNUT0hvbGRpbmdUYW5rTWV0YWRhdGEYgMDmoLSV8QgMogEJbGVub3ZvX2di&obem=Cr7UDsLpT4COEX_f8OYppzqMvE6imRnF0tQjbF4YIII%3D&bc_lcid=t5105821293027328lw5869847375585280

Hope this helps anyone looking for a decent specs within 600 price range. (edited)

lenovo.com/gb/…3uk seems to work. Note that this has a P series i7 (1260P) so 4 P cores rather than the 2 of the i7 in the original deal, so potentially faster but likely to be hotter running/run a battery down faster.

A laptop with separate clicky mouse buttons - a rarity! Hot!

    This one is better deal?

Glad I saw this. Out of this laptop and the below two, which should I get. Thanks in advance for your help. I am looking at buying in the next day or 2, planning to spend about £600 max. Not bothered about a backlit keyboard and happy with a 15.6 inch screen size.

Personally, I'd pay the little extra for the addtional RAM this one has but there are other considerations such as build quality, screen quality, available interface etc. I haven't compared these aspects.
