Ok computer geeks, tell me why I shouldn't buy this.. because this seems like a good deal to me, I want to run some linux VMs and the cores and RAM will help a lot. But every time I find a cool deal, someone explains why it's bad (and that's good!!) but no negative comments on this one?

It's a decent machine, I'm a fan of the Spectre units.
I'd seriously consider this as an upgrade to my 10th gen intel machine, butt he fact it lack discrete graphics has put me right off.

Seems like a good deal this on a touch screen non-oled (better for business). I'd be tempted but a little too large for me.

Why is NON-OLED better for business?

i have no idea what a gorilla glass *non reflective* screen looks like, never seen one i don't think.
but someone on the currys reviews has said it scratches easily?

does it have that stupid anti reflective coating? (edited)

DDR4 3200 at this price is kind of a joke

Thought I'd check, and the first 3 GAMING laptops I found with a 12700H had DDR4-3200. Considering this isn't a gamer, then I'm really not sure what you're expecting (edited)

    Is the RAM upgradable?

@sisqoboy The screen on this model (despite what Currys says in its specs) is 16" viewable (16:10 ratio). HP's website confirms such.

anyone seen this screen on this, does it have a anti reflective coating and does that make the screen look grainy...?

I will answer my own question it is not grainy. BUT it has a very annoying thing when you scroll the text blurs...so you cannot read text whilst scrolling even slowly.. hmm And goes reddish quite annoying... Anyone know how to fix that?
Also (after windows updates it improves ABIT) the sound bizarrely fires louder and clearer from the bottom speakers so sounds somewhat muffled when listening 2 dialogue. I am guessing that cannot be rectified? (edited)

Hi guys, I have a question. We've bought different 2 in 1 laptop from dell, for my wife's work. She needs a decent and reliable laptop, and switching it to tablet plus touchscreen is a plus as she needs it for presentations and stuff.

Problem is, that the dell we've bought, was refurbished with 1 year warranty, but it has some issues.

First, just when we got it the backlit for keyboard didn't work. Then it didn't want to turn on at some point - I had to disconnect the battery for few seconds, and after that keyboard stopped working.

Is this worth paying almost twice the money?

We paid around £600 few weeks ago.

And the dell is inspiron 14 2 in 1 5000
    i7 11th gen 1165g7 2.8ghz
    16gb ram
    1tb ssd
Intel. Iris. Graphics plus geforce mx 330

    Id really appreciate your comments.
    Thank you.

looks like, your not missing much, the sound on it is poor - dialogue is not clear (its clear if you listen thru the speakers on the bottom!), it does not keep sync with the video and crackles due to DPC latency (streaming bbc etc.), the screen isn't really that good (colours are over saturated....) and has a irritating trailing/blurring when you scroll text slowly, (I scroll text as I read it! And this works fine on a Samsung tablet or my phone or my other old hp laptop). The touchpad is way too slippy (seriously) you cannot precisely click where you need to,
windows 11 does not work well..... etc. etc.
this has been designed by someone who does not use a laptop. (edited)
