I've bought 2 Thinkpad's from NewAndUsedLaptops Ebay shop and they have all been great. The i7 is a bit more but had 16GB Ram. Excellent product with great keyboard and regualr updates.
You could upgrade the Storage to 2T for just over £100 (do it yourself)

sorted byHave had the odd will not power on thing but I personally put that down to it being a Lenovo.
Have seen it happen on practically all the ThinkPad T and P models we employ at some stage or other.
(Have used them all Dell, HP and Lenovo in various roles, only seen this issue with Lenovo's)
Word of warning, battery is now entirely inside in the T490 and onwards (T14 gen 1, 2 etc).
If you have issues powering on - pinhole reset underneath.

Laptop was in basically pristine condition. Only slight letdown was the keyboard was an American style one (slim return key) where they'd sprayed UK keyboard layout on as part of the refurbishment and I couldn't handle the lack of dedicated backslash key. Plus the refurb layer diminished the backlighting (but they didn't advertise a backlit keyboard so that is fine).
Anyway I messaged them and said I can swap it out myself (I am a techie) if they wanted to replace it and they did and shipped me out a perfect condition UK one (backlit) next day on a swap basis. Brilliant service.
T490 itself is good, performs well and I do like the smaller size (even slight) compared to T480 and earlier. Downside is even at 90% capacity the battery lasts like 2 hours, not the 6ish hours reviewers claimed. So if that's your concern wait for a T480 deal for the swappable battery.
Also, bonus, it had an extra 8GB installed for a total of 16GB. You might get lucky. I've seen others saying similar in feedback so it's a lottery, don't count o know it but be glad if you get it. (edited)
