Hello,as the author of the "GD Script" book, I am inviting you to learn advanced use of GD Script. The reader will find a lot of GD Script codes and concepts inside. In the beginning, you will start with concepts from the previous book. For example, button creation. Later on, you will learn more complex parts of code. Book will cover the advanced use of Godot GD Script. Godot is a leading game engine, and the latest stable version in 2019 is 3.1.GD Script is a game engine script for game development. Godot game engine has GD Script as his main script for making games and applications with the engine. A developer can make 2D or 3D games. You can also make applications based on the control scene. You can download it for different platforms. The game engine is only 50.megs in size. Marijo Trkulja is an author with experience. He teaches computer science courses. He worked in many computerschools. Lately, he teaches via online teaching platforms. His previous book “GD Script” is a great introduction to this one. we will learn through workable projects. The project will introduce a topic and then explained it. Every project will use a gd script only, and this means you will need only one node and script attached to it. In the beginning, video materials will help you to better understand written text.Large video tutorial material (around 15.GB) reader can find at “The best course for 2D games” course for Godot 2D and 3D games. Four years old, is for v3.1 - current LTS is 3.5.x, latest 'release' is 4.2.1 so there's going to be missing info; the linked UDEMY course no longer exists and the game used as an example is pretty janky...
...but if you need some basic introductory stuff to Godot then free's the right price to at least get a basic idea of what's going on in the game engine.
I'd also recommend looking on YouTube, there are some outstanding Godot tutorials on there.

I think Godot is the best choice for people doing their own thing, coding their own games on a personal level. It's less burden on your computer, easier to get your head around and equally comfortable as a 2D or 3D engine.

If you are looking for a career in the industry then it really helps to know Unreal and Unity but Godot a good starter engine for enthusiasts.
Thank you for spotting this one. I've had a quick look at it and it's not a getting started beginners book. (edited)

Yeah, engine wise Godot is pretty sweet for doing some basics. Some elements of the IDE could use work but overall it's good if you want to Get Some Stuff Done.

I wouldn't recommend this now... too old and a lot of the information is obsolete.
