Has anyone else had to Google Quinoa?

No, cooked it for the past 30 years. It's an awesome food. It's a seed and is a complete protein. Dead easy to cook. You'd have to be an absolute clown at cooking to not be able to cook Quinoa and have to buy it in a can.

    Dead easy recipe :

    Quinoa (cook separate)

    Combine the following >
Lloyd Grossman's Tomato & Chilli Pasta Sauce
Soya Mince or Chunks cooked - Soak for 30 mins or stick in a bowl with a lot of water and microwave for 1 minute.

Whack the Soya Mince or Chunks coated sauce over the Quinoa, job done. Add some Kidney beans or Black Beans if you want some extra healthy ingredients.

Cooked this since the early mid 90s on occasion. You can replace the Quinoa for Pasta although Quinoa is far healthier and a complete protein. (edited)

I saw these and other beans / grains for 10p in their store in Liverpool Belle Vale , they are small and hands tins for a quick meal for a single person

I got some of these from B&M for 25p at the end of last year. Handy if you want some quick grains. Is this the start of a poundstretcher comeback? They haven't been on my list of go to places for a while now. Home Bargains and farmfoods are much better bets for bargain hunters IMO.............

That’s a very good price. Quinoa can be pricey and I have no patience to cook it from raw.

I got them last @ 6 for £2.49 with a Discount Dragon order (~50p a can). Now looking back it was never a deal but I didn’t do a price comparison beforehand. DD in my opinion has gone to the pits.

I had to go to the Doctors and get treated for it. Quinoa is a nasty disease.
Apparently, I caught mine from either swimming in dirty rivers or spending drunken nights away in sleazy hotels.
Naturally I told everyone it was the swimming.
