Make sure you read the T&C's if you want this £50 voucher for Christmas.

In case people aren't aware, Argos & John Lewis are running the same offer, they will give you a £50 voucher but this is not redeemable until after Christmas.

Quote from Argos etc. "(Buy an Oculus Quest 2 headset & claim a £50 Argos eGift Card from 04.01.22 and 31.01.2)".

This seems to be a recurring theme as John Lewis has the same deal, redeem now but you can't spend until the new year.

Thank you. Rang and sorted mine. I recommend everyone to ring now rather than wait as you have to wait up to 7 days and if doesn't arrive you don't want any issues with a re-claim after the 18th of Jan when the claim deadline ends.

    Whats up with VERY?

Their customer service is terrible, had a fault with a projector, they refused to refund and told me to send to manufacture for repair (which is against consumer regs). Repair didn't take so they arranged to take it back but then changed their mind and wanted me to send for second repair. Luckily they forgot to cancel the collection so I got to return it anyway. With all the other retailers offering same deal I'd take anyone else over Very.

They seem to get bad press on here but I’ve never had an issue with them. Just bought this and the £50 was credited instantly.

I’ve got several iPhones and other stuff all v good prices and taken advantage of many offers over the years and I’ve never been refused.

Contrast that with curry’s and had a nightmare last year with an order that I got a confirmation number but didn’t go through. Luckily wasn’t anything major

I'm doing this. I phoned to ask about stock levels though as i didn't want to start the returns process only to find they had 1 or 2 left in stock and my new order ended up being cancelled or delayed. They've got over 1k in stock.

    TokyoGhoul:

I'm going to contact John Lewis customer service and see what They will do for me. 50 quid is a fair bit of cash

I did this and they said that whilst they can price match, they can't do anything with promotions. I've had to return my recently delivered oculus and buy another one to get the gift card. (edited)

The UK consumer laws were always better/going further than the EU ones. The fact that they have remained unchanged since Brexit is proving what exactly?

Of course, if you are going after an EU trader, that's different, but we are not talking about EU retailers here, are we?

And no, I am not a Brexiteer because I disagree with you. Welcome to shortcuts and stereotypes. (edited)

Seems like added grief that shouldn't be needed just to play a game and from what I've read you need to now prove who you are. I've also read about accounts being banned until they submit proof. Plus the tracking FB do isn't just limited to only when you're logged in.

Most definitely you can, either that or contact JL and tell them what you plan on doing and they might just send you a gift card. Your item is unopened and within the return period date. I personally would just return and buy again as that would effectively give more weeks on the warranty period in the long run

Read that these head sets could come with dead pixels, wouldn't want the hassle of a difficult exchange or return. John Lewis would be much better, can just use the £50 gift card on a Waitrose delivery and stock up on beer instead. Not decided to get it yet though.

Yeah, you're far better feeling with a bricks and mortar store. Got mine Thursday, it's amazing. Would recommend a better head strap, I got a third party one from Amazon for £28.99 with good reviews. Games are pretty cool and Oculus store has a really good returns policy, if you've had a game less than 14 days and spent fewer than 2 hours playing you can get a full refund on it.

lol i was able to simply cancel the amazon one im guessing the BFGOOGLE code for the hub would void the £50 john lewis card, however i would rather have the JL card rather than the amazon promo as far as im aware giftcards are somewhat refundable and have longer times were as amazon has a promotional period you can use it, and non refundable so if you buy something and it turns out to be rubbish you get nothing back lol, however a possible £6 tcb (just found out only available as avois points no other) (edited)
