Providing complete GB coverage, the OS Explorer map series details information essential in the great outdoors, including youth hostels, pubs and visitor information. Rights of way, fences, permissive paths and bridleways are clearly shown, ensuring you have the best information to get the most out of your time in the countryside.

Customers can now discover the landscape in all weathers thanks to the OS Explorer Map – Active; a tough, versatile and wipe-clean version of the OS Explorer map.

This map comes with a digital version which you can download to your smartphone or tablet.

Go to OS.uk/redeem for more details (terms and conditions apply).

Scratch off the panel on the inside cover of the map to reveal a code, you are then just three easy steps away from downloading your digital map.

If the scratch panel has already been scratched off or if you have any problems downloading your map, please call the OS Customer Service Centre on 03456 050505.

Does the digital version expire or can I access it forever for free?

I much prefer the Collins AZ adventure maps which can be read as a booklet. I don't understand why OS does these as full maps which are extremely cumbersome to maneuver whilst hiking. Am I missing something? (edited)

This be a good Fathers day present from kids as our local map is really old and I don't want to pay £23 a year for online subscription... thanks op

Ps I also bought my own dad a map, I wanted to try and apply my son's D of E card to see if I could get another cheeky 15% off but I can't find it! If you have one, maybe try. (edited)

Outdooractive app is pretty bang on, never had to buy an OS map. You get the VERY rare occasion when a path shown may be private, but overall its brilliant.

Maps.Me also very good for offline maps, but prompts for area downloads quite alot.

Maps.Me should be avoided. It's been bought out by a questionable company. But the project was forked and a more reliable version is available as Organic Maps

Nearly all free maps are based off the Openstreetmap project data.

Good deal, thanks. Awful shopping experience with their website though.
