Cheapest I've seen the Panasonic's Flagship 2022 55" TV with an impressive inbuilt sound system. Quite a few places have dropped the price by £300 today. Chose John Lewis to post as some people get staff discounts or have vouchers for their and some people like to take out the screen burn in protection JL offer.

If spending this sort of money and want it professionally calibrated to ISF standard before receiving it for £199 then Crampton & Moore is where to get it. (Although the calibrated picture right out of the box is meant to be the best on any TV currently on the market) Considering getting my Sony A95K calibrated by ISF and had a quote for over £300 to get it done by them, so a decent saving overall on calibration price

Panasonic’s Master OLED TV, the LZ2000, is for people who are passionate about films. Its stunning picture is driven by the brand’s HCX PRO AI processor, and 360° Surround Sound Pro with Dolby Atmos envelopes you in audio detail. It’s brilliant for gaming too, with dedicated features to heighten the experience. High Dynamic Range expands light, dark, and every colour in between for a picture that's closer to real life. This set supports multiple HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HDR10+ Adaptive.

Very good deal and a TV on my wishlist along with the A95K. Looking at the 65 inch.

When I popped into RS the chap there said it's a waste of time spending money on professional calibration and just do it yourself by looking on YouTube or elsewhere online. Probably agree with him as most people wouldn't truly notice the difference. Classy Tech Calibrations is a YouTube channel that offers calibration settings.

There are loads online providing calibration settings for the top end TVs and is probably the route I'd take. Just need to put a bit of effort in.

    Just my opinion though.

I used Classy Tech to try and calibrate my A95K TV, but for my own personal eyesight (except Netflix) the picture looked duller overall, I appreciate that could be just me though. I reset it all back to factory settings and I reduced the motion settings and turned off the ambient sensor and power save setting that I first did when I got it in Custom Mode and that is a better picture for me. Will have a tinker on the Netflix settings though again.

Everybody's viewing perspective is different. So need to decide if to stick with this or try some other calibrated settings or get it done professionally

    This or Sony A90J ?

You need to see them side by side to make your mind up, but this is better than A90J on paper as It offers HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ Adaptive and Dolby Vision IQ the LZ2000’s AI processor can take an image from any HDR source it receives and adapt it to the lighting conditions of a room for the best performance at any given time and is meant to be the best calibrated picture out of the box if you didn't want to get it professionally calibrated.

The LZ1500 is meant to be exactly the same spec wise as the LZ2000 minus the TV speakers, so if the sound isn't important to you, may be worth waiting to see if the LZ1500 drops in price in the coming weeks also (edited)

The 65" is £2199 has been about £100 cheaper before, but not widely available at that price, so once again as like the 55" if you wanted it professionally calibrated by ISF for £199 before receiving it Crampton & Moore are selling it at the cheapest price for the 65" they have so far.

Appreciate not everyone wants or needs their TV calibrated, but if spending this sort of money, some people may, although as said in the description, out of the box this Panasonic OLED is meant to be the best calibrated picture of any 2022 TV of its competitors (edited)

Couldn't agree more about it being the best calibrated TV out of the box. Definitely looks more natural than an LG C2. I haven't seen any of the Sony OLEDs though.

I have the 55hz1500b from 2020. and honestly it's the best purchase I ever made for vaule (£160+£40 delivery)

I've only heard good things about the new Panasonic TVs.
only commenting as in mine when using netflix, I'm sure it defaults to the Dolby settings. and I can't use the filmmaker setting.

I haven't calibrated mine, but Im perfectly happy with the filmmaker and picture calibration out of the box

    £160 - bargain! Presumably missing a zero?

I've got the 1500 and it's a great picture out of the box. I didn't need the sound and I think that's ultimately why I went with it over the 2000. I have found the TV to be quite glitchy on the apps though and the iPlayer frequently fails to load or, when it does load, fails to play UHD. A factory restore helped a bit but still problematic. The remote is poor (such a shame companies are neglecting the remote nowadays).

No idea if the 2000 suffers the iPlayer issue but if you're on the fence between this and Sony and use the 'free' services from BBC, ITV and C4 I'd recommend doing some digging before you buy.

    What 1500 do you own?

I use the beta iplayer, it works flawlessly on my jz1500, as does 4 and itvx. I have constant hdmi handshake issues with the tv and devices plugged into it, its just a buggy tv overall it seems, picture is up there with the best though. (edited)

Wish it was the 65in at this price. Is it worth paying the JL screen burn /accidently warranty on this?

Worth considering the Philips Oled 65" 907/12 being sold on Ebay by Box for £1999 - £1000 cheaper than anywhere else and a cracking Oled Tv also, personally think it's a misprice and is more than likely for the equivalent 807 or the 55" 907 as it is £1000 more expensive on their own website to buy currently, but you can always give them a ring to find out, before committing if interested (edited)
