These were great many years ago when made in France. They are now made in India and the quality has suffered significantly for it.

Why blue ink and medium when nobody uses this colour. ?

    I do, along with black/red/green
I like the Gel ink though but it can be a bit unreliable.

Pretty sure some life insurance company will send you one of these pap pens if you enquire to sign up

But you'd have to listen to Carol Vorderman telling you about it.

Such an inseparable part of my childhood! I remember when owning a Parker was a matter of prestige....bested only my Schafer and Montblanc (rich kids pen)

A Lamy fountain pen will change the way you write.

    Forever...

I remember as a school kid in West Brom if you had a Parker jotter pen other kids would say "Steve's Discount £1.99"

Obviously Steve went on to much bigger things after that when he started a chain of stores that sold everything for a pound...

£5 for one singular pen? How is this any better than a normal 20p ballpoint?

If you do a lot of note taking at work, then a decent pen is worth a few quid. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of these ones though.

The quality of these Parkers has declined over the years. The quality of the materials used certainly has.

The safety cap wasn't introduced until the 1990s so the first two are innacurate. These are the important matters I spend my time on.

52615144-kr4sO.jpgI use a zebra metal pen for notes, very well made, looks good, and sturdy, a good pen if you don't want to use a disposable. Around £8.
