If I download it and later on I lost amazon prime, will I still have access to this game
    billybillybillybilly's avatar
Yes, just claim whilst you have prime and it's permanently on your epic account

I downloaded it, told it I’d play it first thing in the morning and then didn’t and made sure not to tell it. I’ll probably play it at a random time one afternoon next week.

    It’s incredibly realistic

Mine tried to start at 7am on the day after it was supposed to be coming at 9am, but I wasn't up until 7:30, so I missed it and then it left a rude voicemail on my phone.

Thanks, played it for ten minutes and invoiced Epic for £50.

    50 quid? More like 500

Think the guys who did some of our wiring a while back could do with some practice using this first!

    electrical engineering degree redundant now

Installed it an hour ago, already burned my house down.

How accurate is the gameplay. Can you actually learn anything from this that won't result in electric shock?

It is based on US wiring standards, however it gives you a good general underlying understanding. Very simplified and not entirely accurate but it's a great starting point to have fun with.

    Shocked this is free.

Yeah. I had to double-take too; I thought I had my wires crossed.

You too can unleash your inner "Big Clive" and create much magic smoke (explosive pie-dish not included)

Big Clive I find a bit too tame. I get my shocks from this Iranian chap.

    Still hasn’t turned up

Does this also "simulate" the sparkie not turning up when they said they would and then later blaming it on their Nan dying/wife or girlfriend leaving them?

    Got to love tradies

Heated OP, have added to my library of games that I will literally never play.

I tried it then got an email saying I'd left the place messy and wouldnt be called back again.

    Very realistic.

I'm only trained up to the 15th Edition of the IEE Regulations, and have been out the game for about 15 years...

Does anyone know if you complete this, if you get a certificate or anything that you can use and work as an Electrician again?

    Thanks in advance!
    aLV426's avatar
You could always buy some breakfast cereal - I hear they are giving away the certification now... lol
IEEE, I got my training back in 2000, I am also a competent linesman! (yes that's the official certification title!)

Does this make estimates after a rapid intake of breath
  16. xigent's avatar
Does it show two electricians arguing about the right way to do things and how to interpret the regulations whilst a plumber laughs at how wonky their work looks. (edited)

Cheers, saved money on having to hire an electrician!

Played about half an hour of it and ran out of cash to do some other jobs. Couldn’t afford a screwdriver to fix some old guys lights in his bathroom.

Great British electricals nearly killed me three times in two years including a power shower that came apart internally while I was having a shower sending 240v down the metal flexible hose.... This might give me PTSD

    sounds like Final Destination material!

Good game. Played it with my 6 year old daughter. While I explained things she managed to repair an electric whisk, a drone, and correctly wire up a wall switch. After it, she was able to tell me the safety purpose of fuse boxes. What the colours and purposes of wires in a socket are and the order of methodology for installation... maybe a female electrician in the making...
