PureVPN are offering a generous discount on their already competitive 5 year plan, with subscription working out to 65p per month on a 5 year, so £38.70 in total.

Heard nothing but good things about PureVPN, and although your may consider a lifetime plan, it's always worth noting you don't know how long those plans may be around / operate, and there's always the worry of a sub par service, you have paid after all!

Having a look around, this is the cheapest VPN I could find with these features on a 5 year plan, so if you are happy with the term it is really worth considering!

I think it's also advisable to also mention that this Deal is actually is U.S. Dollars, and NOT in UK Pounds Sterling instead.

It's $50 U.S., so in order to get it for the OP quoted price of £30 odd, then a fee free bank card of some ilk will need to be in play here, I'd have readily assumed?, lol.

Fee free bank card's like the Halifax Clarity credit card, or via any other bank card that guarantee's you similar to that too.

And/or the online Monzo (via either App, and/or physical card).

Or similar equivalents to that above online one alao, etc etc etc, like, Revolut, Starling, MMonese (and suchlike as well). :-)

I recall a few people on here, via other previous Thread's at least anyway, saying that UK PayPal offered them favourable international currency conversions, to other foriegn money exchange's, or whatever whatever too, but some have in like-manner, have said the total opposite to that too, like?, so ...

Either way, those are your potential 'options' laid out for you (bold as brass as it were?, lol).

So there you go, hehehe.

Happy hunting everyone. :-)

I beg to differ! I spend almost half the year over seas and still come on here. Granted, I'm not on as often and dont look through the new deals section, just the hot ones but I still like finding a random bargain like the rest of us!

Not voted. Hot for common use like bypassing geo-restrictions and similar stuff and for the price of the deal, cold for not offering true anonymity due to the reputation of the company when it comes to stand for its customers. Just google it. That said, will benefit many,if aware.

Apparently download speeds are slow and there is extra cost for port forwarding which is an add on that has to be extra paid for. Not good, not good at all...

Anyone who thinks they can get a decent VPN that is properly secure, doesn't log, leak or do dodgy stuff for 65p per month is incredibly naive.

If it isn't dodgy, it'll be overloaded and if it isn't overloaded it'll be dodgy.

The costs are simply too high to provide both for the price. (edited)

I moved to Denmark a few years ago and I use the HUKD app everyday. A lot of deals I go for are from Amazon and they deliver here, otherwise I deliver to my UK address and it’s Christmas everytime I go back to visit

Well I am,living abroad most of the year, and buy regularly via these deals, just get it delivered to my UK address and collect when I come back into UK.

Just had a go at buying on US TCB site it's $79,which if 42% cashback pays out would only save approx £1.50 vs this posted deal.

It's also useful in countries, such as Turkey and China which block internet access to many sites,ie Wikipedia and many others.

I don't think it's satire or bigoted. It's just pointing out the double standard of brits abroad not being considered or considering themselves as immigrants, when that is factually what they are. immigrant is not a dirty word, the amount of anti-immigration rhetoric we hear is what makes it seem bigoted.

No point going for 5 year deal if you can have a 1 year deal for 8.28 GBP (which is close to price per year in this 5 years deal anyways) using this link purevpn.com/pag…omo and putting in Cyber10 promo code. I can almost guarantee that next year same promo will come in place.

Much safer option as you can always change the VPN provider after a year if you're not entirely happy as well as protect yourself from losing money in case PureVPN goes down.

I've been on the lookout for a reliable site myself for a while. The best I've found is Top10VPN - They maintain their independence through affiliate links to VPN sale websites but never accept money to review the actual product. Further to this, they implement a series of test that hits all my critical criteria:
    1) Privacy: Does the provider keep logs of any kind and where is the provider based? Are they outside the jurisdiction of the 14 eyes?
    2) Security: How robust is the security provided? Top10VPN checks for DNS and IP leaks which would render the use of a VPN useless. Further to this, have there been any breaches in security, if so how have companies responded (Looking at you NordVPN ) As a bonus if they've been publicly audited or not.
    3) Speeds: What's the point of a VPN if it internet speeds crawl when connected?

There are other things like if it unblocks content on Netflix/allows access to iPlayer outside the UK but I don't use a VPN for these reasons. There are also some servers run by VPNs that allow torrenting and some that don't.

Hope this helps (I'm in no way linked to Top10VPN by the way, just a big fan of their business model and transparency) (edited)

There are loads of users on HUKD and German MyDealz from Eastern Europe countries as many goods (when they have goods deals) are much cheaper (including shipping) than in their own countries. So why wouldn't they be here? Main point of sites like this is to save money. What difference does it make where you live.

Thanks for the information, I have been thinking about getting a VPN but i …Thanks for the information, I have been thinking about getting a VPN but i thought adding it to router would be the best option. I am unsure how a VPN works, but if I only have it active on say my laptop can my network provider still see my usage.

Two ways of using a vpn

Setting up on router... Everything that accesses the router will be encrypted. I found this slow as my old modem was not fast enough to encrypt data and also if you want to change geo locations then you have to log imto the router and change configurations

    Easier way

Install vpn software on your computers or tablets or phone

If use the app / program then all applications will be encrypted eg torrent

You can get browser add ons but then only browser is encrypted

You can usually have a few simultaneous connections

But can install on as many devices as you want with your username and password

So to answer your question directly. If you install the sofrware on your laptop then all programs on your laptop should access the internet via the vpn and will be encrypted (edited)

NEVER BUY LIFETIME ACCESS OR A LONG PERIOD OF ACCESS TO A VPN.

These companies collapse and come back up with new names all the time, you won't get your 'lifetime' service, and often not even a year. Buyers beware. Very risky and VPN lifetime deals are usually scams.

I was on holiday abroad at the time of the last Olympic Games and was unware that those crooks at the BBC would block I-player access even for UK TV licence payers like myself. The one event I really wanted to see was Usain Bolt's 100M final in his last Olympic Games. When I realised that geo-blocking was in place afew minutes before the start, it was too late to get fixed up with a VPN and I missed the live final.Thank you BBC, the sooner your Stalinist corporation passes to to subscription/advertising based, the better.

On a negative note, there are still many areas where PureVPN can improve. This is particularly the case in the performance area:speedsleaksconnection stability and reliability Based on these factors, all research findings, and the test results, PureVPN does not earn a recommendation. If you’re open to other alternatives, you can check out my list of the best VPN services. If you’re looking for a cheaper low-cost VPN, then NordVPN is a good option. There are also other options to consider that are a bit more expensive, such as ExpressVPN. For a side-by-side analysis of these two VPNs, see the NordVPN vs ExpressVPN comparison.

You should be honest and tell people you receive an affiliate referral bonus from nord with sign ups from your link. Hardly an unbias recommendation, and for that reason I would not trust your list.
