    What's this rubbish.
    Worse than Onkyo.

    Onkyo is a great brand.

I got my Attessa from the store. They had it for £309 then I got 10% off clearance for being a V.I.P member. It came to £278. It was brand new never been used but marked up as refurbished. It might be worth checking stock in your local stores.

Attessa turned up, listening now. It's an interesting proposition, not entirely sure what I think yet.

It does produce a very nicely detailed sound, just verging on bright.

It was either ex display or customer return and has a few minor marks, which I can just about live with for the price.

Whoever last had their hands on it had really hacked the arm about. The screw for the azimuth adjustment bar, which also holds the tracking weight had been semi-stripped and both were flopping about and impossible to adjust. The arm, arm lift platform and anti-skate pole were all fouling each other. Arm lift wasn't dropping under the weight of the arm.

Took about an hour to fix all of the above. The unipivot has to be sat 'just so' otherwise it's off balance. The very flimsy plastic on the back feels like it's going to rip off when you try and remove the RCAs. The dust cover has very tight clearance and isn't hinged.

Pretty egregiously, wow is at 0.3%, rather than the review sample which is quoted at 0.03%. My Debut 3se which it's supposed to replace gives 0.09%. Not sure what the electronic speed control is up to!

Hmm! Does look and sound lovely though, but a bit of a dilemma. (edited)

    Hi mate

How do you find it so far? Ive been to my local store and they had an open box available but they highly advised me not to get the Attessa. They simply quoted its a good furniture and also said the cartridges etc are finicky to set up.

    They recommended
    AUDIO TECHNICA BLUETOOTH USB
    TURNTABLE
    LP120 XBTUSB

    Or Project Debut Pro

In a little dilemma here. Agree the Attessa looks much more eye pleasing but I prefer quality over looks.

Nice! Have been watching the Attessa price drops for about a year now - that's my biting point. Plus it looks like they're finally running out of stock. Ordered.

Edit, think I may have got the last one! Thanks OP. (edited)

I thought Richer Sounds went bust after Covid. Glad to see they didn’t

I have an old Technics record player from my student days in the 80s (and the records from that time), which I've rarely/never used after I fixed it up and installed it... so how come I keep being tempted by lovelies like these?
Maybe I should go and put on Ride the Lightning just for good old time's sake.
