These pumpkins 🎃 are big but don’t have much flesh - the part you eat. They’re blander in flavour and not sweet to taste. So they’re great for carving but not for cooking.
However for 10p… I’ll add some pumpkin spice and make pumpkin muffins 😋
oh and the seeds are a treat when seasoned with salt, pepper, sesame oil and roasted for 10-15 mins

Surprised Topcashback hasn't done its normal offer of a free pumpkin. 10p is still a great price for a winter veg

Aren't these varieties inedible though?

Alot of pumpkins I've found in the shops lately are rotting. Seems a rubbish crop this year.
ASongOfIceandFire
It’s probably because there getting them in earlier due to demand but sitting rotting we pick from local grower we have done today actually they don’t last especially if bruised battered during transport.

Bought a pumpkin on 20/10 from Aldi. Haven’t opened it and it’s stored in a cool dry place. Supposed to last much longer than this if don’t cut open. Starting to go soft and cave in on bottom. Not good considering not even 31st yet 👎 (edited)
