sorted byThis is a dangerous tool with lots of opportunities to lose fingers, hands (or even eyes if splinters go flying). At £100, it is going to be missing all the bits that make a more expensive saw nice to use and will be hard to get to cut accurately. It's missing soft start so will buck in your hands when you start it - which does not help accuracy and makes you more likely to lose a finger. As does the rubbish blade it will come with.
I have done thousands of cuts on a mitre saw and unless you are a roofer, I very much doubt you need to do any compound cuts at all. The vast, vast majority of my cuts are 90 degree cuts and for that, you need consistent accuracy (which I very much doubt you can get for £100).
My advice - save your money and buy a 2nd hand Makita, Dewalt or Elektra Beckum on Facebook for the same price.
Main benefits I can see with the Scheppach vs. the Titan is that it has a 2000w motor + 3yr warranty. Not 100% sure if this is sliding like the Titan.
