Wouldn't get anything from SE again, played FFXI (Online) for many years - They have just let it become a giant bot fest now, with 95% of the player base also cheating. Bit of a shame for what was a flagship game.

Crazy attitude towards a game that came out in 2002. For the people who still play a 22 year old game you either accept the bots and cheating on such a dated game engine or accept Square removing the servers entirely. The monthly fee you pay covers the server costs and propping up legacy software/middleware (source - I actually consulted on this exact game and it's online services years ago, they were losing money 6 years ago keeping it online, I imagine they're losing even more now)

Such a strange stance from someone passionate enough to play a 22 year old game though. See this a lot with entitled gamers, the developers can't win. The reality is you should move to their newer MMO which is still actively supported.

Yes. I had this too. You have 3 options. Buy a game over ~80p to get 10xp. Get a £2 entry pack, which you can then redeem against your 1st purchase (greenmangaming.com/gam…ck/). Or use the Linus (as in the tech guy from youtube) free entry to XP (greenmangaming.com/xp-…us/). Add the £100 item to your basket and use code LINUS to make it free <- this is the best option... I went through all this last night to get like 4 FF games (edited)
