I have one, relatively sturdy and fits in our airing cupboard. Happy with it for £50.

Whilst I love the idea of these, and this is a great price, I always think it would be like climbing a wobbly rope ladder. Does anyone have one of these in use?

They are steady but it takes a bit of time to get used to the thin rungs.

Not sure 2.6m is useful, as once it’s against the wall, won’t the reach be just as high as a 5/6 rung step ladder?…their other option would be more useful (edited)

no comparison. Have to be insane to stand 2/3rds up step ladder then reach up...that's the easy bit. Coming down once up there; if you have to step down a loft hatch is the tricky bit.

I have similar, also 2.6m, did the job well when I needed to repair the flat roof on my dining room and my garage as well as fetching many footballs for the neighbour's kids, running some solar lights across the roof line of said dining room and also CCTV wiring. Had mine for about 5 or 6 years, paid £22 on eBay.

Wouldn’t risk buying a telescopic ladder from an unrecognised retailer. EN131 legislation is important with these and need to be sure that is being followed.
