Yep, the 12 yo is being discontinued (which is a crime in itself). Got a half bottle in Tesco recently for £12 - that offer's still going IIRC.

On sale at £24 in Tesco Inverness. We never get any supermarket whisky deals up in whisky country.

Just cleaned out Tesco Wembley of the Glenlivet 12 year old. The Talisker was already cleared out. Also got good deals on Glenfidditch 14 Rich Oak (£25 instead of £35), Glenlivet Special Reserve, Glenfidditch 10 and Abelour

I guess that was the 15/18 year old you saw for £47. Great price for this.

Absolute steal if you can get one and and absolute crime that they're discontinuing it (my favourite nip).
I had a sip of the NAS Founders Reserve - loads of lovely smells but absolutely no taste

12 for 40
15 for 47

Average market prices for the 12 were 30-35. I guess this is still a good deal, but the 12 isn't very good IMO

You mean the Founders Reserve? Its a different drink as far as I've read. I mean I haven't tried it myself but every review I'd read says it tastes different. Think ASDA are doing it for £23 on offer at the moment so if I can get some 12 year old I may also get Founders Reserve and compare for myself.

Correct FR is a blend of different ages of whisky some young, some older which is why they don't put an age statement on the bottle.
Definitely not the same as 12 y.o.
