Go to a timber merchant, they will be even less. I paid £1.40 a board last month.

Correct. £1.70 a board is daylight robbery

100mm x 11mm poor, most merchants will be 125mm meaning less boards required and cheaper

Thank you for the input, that's really helpful.

Local timber merchants cheaper where I am, £1.50 each for these and you can choose the ones you want, unlike bundled wood. Always some poor bits in bundles

Literally bought these 4 days ago, damn it will say they are very splintery as in large bits of wood splits on the majority. Overall the boards seem good though, just not the most slightly, can cut most bits off

Still good enough quality for a boundary fence would you say?

Can you use this for creating borders in the garden, stuck straight into the ground?

These are 'traingle' shape so one edge is very thin. I'd be concerned about how long the wood would actually last before it rots. If soil and water touch normal fences, they root at the bottom, and that's without them being in the ground.
I assume something thicker would be best. And cover it in something protective to make it last longer

CW Berry Leyland supply cheaper price at £1.11. the quality looked questionable as they were damp. but once i fitted them, they dried out and look the part.

Also used CW Berrys about 4 years ago to make a fence, painted, and still going strong.

My local timber yard sells these for £1 each.

I just bought 10 of these today for £12 from local builders merchant. That price is incredibly expensive.

Anyone tried these as horizontal slats with 10-20mm spacing? Wonder if this would look good
