how do you eat these? are they in a sauce? do ounheat them up and put on a roll? seriously, these sound lovely but no idea how you eat them or make a meal/snack with them?

It's meant to be hot, yea. I'm guessing it's just all mixed together already, so you just heat it up and eat it like that. Most usually you'd eat this with some fries/chips if you bought it from a food cart or something, but that's up to you. Still quite good just by itself as a snack.

Isn't authentic currywurst just curry powder and ketchup

I mean for the most part, but I never had great luck trying to make my own like that. What I do when I make it at home is use Maggi Masala Chili sauce. It's absolutely perfect for it, and tastes better than just chucking some ketchup and curry powder together. Absolutely delicious with a nice bratwurst.

Tried the famous German sausages when in Berlin. They were all terrible - the meat is basically pureed and they're pretty salty too ☹️

That's like going to Rome and finding every pizza you try terrible. I dont know how you'd have such bad luck, or maybe you just have an aversion to more finely minced sausages in general and those are the only you tried?

These were at 29p a year or so ago when farmfoods were trying to clear them. Too sweet for me. Threw sauce away and ate the wurst.............................
