How to do YouTube videos?

Hi guys, my boy who is 9 wants to be able to record his xbox games/videos and post them on YouTube with audio.
Has anyone done this and can tell me what I need, thanks.

He has a basic gaming PC that's running an i5 4th gen CPU and a 1050 GPU.

The xbox has a record feature (upto about an hr), simply select the destination as a USB sick. He can then import them into pretty much any video editing software to tidy up, add captions, and a commentary.

We bought my son an Elgato HD60 a few years ago. It went inside our PC i7 in one of the slots. Then we plugged HDMI cable from there to the Xbox and another one to a monitor/TV, and it was a fantastic bit of software. He could record party chat from his headset, also bought him a Blue Yeti mic to record himself talking better, and the included editing was good, too. The only thing was he had to play his xbox through his PC to record it, so it had a tiny bit of lag. Might be worth checking out their website. (edited)
