Restore favourites in Gallery on Redmi phones?

Specifically the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

I had around 200 tagged favourites in the gallery, but I took the SD card out and that updated the thumbnail database under photos/albums in Gallery.

Reinserting the card made the phone rebuild the thumbnail database, but somehow lost the favourites folder.

Where do I need to look to restore my favourites or are they lost?
