Please find a quick guide on how to get COD for around £24, your price will vary depending on bank exchange rates / fees but it's way cheaper.
o region lock on BN

1. Download Speedify from speedify.com/dow…ad/
2. install and connect to any russian VPN
3. open browser and go to battlenet, it will be in Russian, just click on top right corner menu and select bottom icon with torso and plus sign
4. next page should be in English, just create new account using new email or alias using xxxx+alias@xxxx.xxx, make sure you leave Russian federation as you region
5. download battlenet client if you don't have it and open it, login using account details just created
6. go to MW tab and click order, select your edition, price should show up in RUB (1999RUB for standard edition)
7. proceed to payment, use revolut or starling or any other similar card, make sure billing address matches your card address
8. after game is added to your account, you can disconnect speedify and uninstall it
9. re-open battlenet client and go to your library and start downloading 124GB

I'm waiting on confirmation this can play ok in the eu against EU players. I think they've overpriced this game and once the hype dies down they might have lost quite a few sales

I quite enjoyed the beta but online is the same as all the others *spawn …I quite enjoyed the beta but online is the same as all the others *spawn camping galor* also the servers will be dead once the hype dies down, every COD is the same lately when the hype dies down.

This cod will have a bit more longevity as there’s cross play between Xbox, ps4 & pc

I just read the following on the Activision website:

"PC versions of Activision games will only be playable in the region in which they were purchased."

Which means you will have to do a region change if you do not live in Russia.

Worked great for me - £24.27 charged to my Monzo card. I don't play any of their other games so don't care about having to use a new account, chances are if I want anything else it'll be cheaper anyway.

Played an hour of multiplayer and worked great. The game matches you based on where you are located, not where your account is registered.

oh hell yeah man, I get that! defo something to think about, but what happens with me is that after 1 year of play I tend to drop the game and uninstall it. I only had OW on my original account and well.. OW2 has killed any intrest I had in that game haha.

Yeah, on google the new account i made is locked to russian federation, i can upload my passport to change to europe if i want. However, on the battle.net app i have on my PC it says i'm connected to european servers so? I'm going to leave the account in russian federation for more cheap stuff

To be clear - this method requires you to create a new Battle.net account (separate to your existing if you have one) that is set to Russian Fed. region? And then you have to use that new Russian account to play the game?

I bought via this method, and played a multiplayer game with a friend who bought his copy direct from battle.net (at full price) and was able to lobby up and play in the same servers.

I've yet to find any restrictions or limitations on this method, other than having to create a new battle.net account..

Only new account, to change region on your existing account you would have to provide proof of address in Russia
