    Thanks for posting.

We already have some TP link home plugs. Will these 2 work as 2 extra plugs in rooms other than where the router and ‘main’ home plugs is please?

    Thanks.

If he’s anything like me, he’ll have to check with the missus for his max packet speed.

Here's what I know with my gigabit adapters:
my MAX throughput is about 105-125mbv (I only have 80mb internet so I'm fine with that, this testing is in-house between my PC and NAS.

Mixing adapters will restrict the faster adapters to only match the speed of the slowest ones.

The more adapters you have on the network, the worse they perform.

And they can degrade over time.

Yes as long as they are all on the same circuit

I’d like to know the same

I think you will be able to use at least one and probably both if they are identical
or may run at the lower speed if max speed varies between device versions.
You can always return to Amazon easy if they do not work as expected. (edited)

Depends on the wiring in your house and probably other factors. These won’t be anywhere near as fast as with an Ethernet cable. I have these plugs one downstairs and two upstairs, I get around 120mb/s between them.

Consider a wireless mesh network instead of power line, unless you live in a medieval castle with thick stone walls. Their performance is better and there is less degradation over time compared to power line adaptors.

Mesh better than using routers as access points?

They are different - access point usually a single unit, mesh network is essential multiple access points in one combined network 'mesh'. If you need a powerline because of weak wifi signal, a mesh should be better than an access point alone.

Does anyone with experience of these know whether I'd see much of a difference over the AV600's? I have 3 which perform really well but copying files to my NAS still seems quite slow :/ is it worth upgrading?

I was wondering the same thing.

Looking at some YouTube videos the AV500/600 seem to max out around 70-80 Mbps and the AV2000 seems to go up to around 200Mbps. This is on the same circuit and will depend on your wiring. Decent improvement IMO.
