Great sprayer with 200 bar of pressure Which Parkside one struggles with. Screwfix has it on sale for £199 but B&Q does it for £170. Picked one up today and reviews from what I can tell are pretty good. Haven’t used mine yet but will update. Description from B&Q website below:
High efficiency airless paint sprayer with 360° spray orientation, for oil and water-based paints, varnishes, stains, and wood preservatives. The adjustable flow rate and spray pressure allows you to precisely regulate paint flow according to the task. Direct intake from the paint container removes the need to decant or refill. Comes with a cleaning brush, 3 spanners and a screw set for the base stand.

sorted byThanks! Talked me out of spending extra £
Will proceed with the brush and a prayer!
I agree with above comment, get your a quality roller & brushes.
Some good masking tape i.e. frog tape, don't forget to activate before using with a damp cloth.
A good adhesion primer like Zinsser Bin, wear a mask and keep ventilated it stinks.
Clean and degrease thoroughly before hand.
Sand between coats.
Thin coats to avoid runs.
Allow plenty of time to dry between coats.
Pay attention to cure time as it differs from dry time once your finished.
Spraying would open a whole lot of issues and techniques you need to be familiar with before even attempting to spray a kitchen.
And then you'd need a whole lot of masking materials and masking films etc.
Yea’ the one colour idea would be ideal but I doubt anybody buys it for that so will involve some cleaning and prep work.
Airless spray systems that work well can run into thousands of pounds - this is far from that due to the price tag’ may be okay on thin paints just a shame there’s still nothing out there thats more affordable and works on majority of paints.
3000psi is what you need to push the thick paint though so this model shouldn’t have a problem. (I have a Graco and that uses the same pressure)
If you’re getting loads of over spray that means your pressure setting is wrong.
Use FFLP tips if you want little over spray and better finish (guy with kitchen cabinet) you can achieve excellent finish.
You can spray room in different colour no problem just have to let the first wall dry and then mask it. I’ve done it and you can get great end result it’s just little time consuming.
I use my sprayers for mainly spraying the entire houses and that justifies the cleaning time (I normally use Graco handheld sprayers for smaller jobs)
I haven’t tried this particular unit yet but I can’t imagine it will be any different to my Graco as the pressure is same. I will let you know if the tip that comes with the unit is any good as generally that’s what causes the issue.
A few videos on YouTube. Looks a bit fiddly. I hate painting so would love something like this. I guess it’s only good if you want a room one colour?
Use a mohair roller and a good quality paint, Zinsser is what I use
Thank you
I only use my sprayers for water based paints, this pressure is ok for water based thick paint. Going to put this to use soon so will update you.
In other words anything slightly thicker and this may struggle.
Hope your update proves me wrong op
I'm all for DIY and having a go, but in all honesty spraying kitchen carcasses isn't all that straightforward, especially to achieve a good finish. There's a serious amount of prep involved, I don't know what)how you've primed them with all due respect.
Even the pros come across problems now and then, and that's with years of practice and thousands of pounds worth of equipment.
Your welcome always happy to help 😁
I remember when i tried that in our old house with some spray cans the whole kitchen was covered with overspray even when i covered most of the parts and weird paint dust that wasn't coming off and landed even in the living room. There was nothing to breathe it was foggy I ad to escape outside and call it a loss.
Cant you just replace the doors
The doors are in perfectly good condition, just needing a makeover, no point in spending hundreds on new doors when you can paint them
I returned this unit in the end due to frustration and knowing that I'd never use it again.
Having said all of that, the machine actually gets really good reviews, so it's probably user error on my part. Let's just say it's not for me. (edited)
Have you used it yet mate?
Haven’t used it yet buddy as the weather hasn’t been pleasant. But if you’re looking to get one I’d say definitely go for it as I’m certain it’s as good as they come for the price range.
