    Heat added, however this 20% isn't that rare these days. Since late last year there's been lots of 10% flash sales that last days that work on top of the student discount so it's slightly less than 20% but not far off. For example today and for the next 5 days there's 10% off on £50+ combined with student discount it's almost 20% online. Instore £10 of points on every £50 spent, last week it was £10 of every £75 online. There seems to be something every week now. It's almost like there trying to show a new buyer that there's sales coming in constantly with getting the same price point but in different ways. ( More than one way to skin a cat )

Cash back and airtime rewards on top too. Definitely not a place to buy everything, but worth checking out which offers are on at the same time as the 20%

    I don't know if it's correct but I get the same thing. I have not got £15 worth of points yet so am planning on using them instore or waiting until I have enough for a free click and collect or home delivery order.

    I cannot find any terms which show that paying with points removes the student discount other than a general "cannot be used with any other promotion" but I don't know how that would apply as you can earn bonus advantage points and get the student discount on the same order.

    I rang boots advantage card and the cheeky advisor told me you can’t use student discount online as mine isn’t working and works intermittently instore !

    The promotion was advertised within the app, but diverts you to the boots.com/stu…unt website on the browser after clicking on 'I want in'.

    As long as you follow the 3 steps above in advance, then you will be all set for when the 20% is active.

    Why don't you try it and see?

    I think it won't work if you are ordering via bootskitchenappliances.com as it isn't boots.com and the login details are not shared.


    If you are ordering direct from boots.com then it should work.

    You can use it online! I've used it many times online! Mine used to work perfectly, then just stopped working. Staff reactivated it, it still wouldn't work. Online said they didn't know why it wasn't working, cut a long story short send me a new "digital card" (I can get an actual one but it will mean starting/re-activating all over again which is NBD but is a faff so haven't, a digital card is the same as a real one in most respects just that it only exists on my phone/the app/my account so I just show this at the till or log in online if placing an order. Since doing this it's been working fine.

    It's been like this since they upgraded there checkout pages ! Not sure either if that's it now or needs fixed.

    Don’t know if you do but all I know is that seemed to resolve it for me. Went round in circles between customer services and in store staff, in the end I called CS and handed the phone to the store, neither admitting the fault was their end or that they could or should fix it. I tried CS abs tbh was aiming for a wad of points in compensation for the headache. I didn’t get any points or apology but they suggested a new card, I took them up on it not expecting it to work but hoping to use it to further bid for compensation points and….it actually seems to have fixed the issue! (I say seems to because I don’t trust it won’t happen again, it’s been a month so far and touch wood…!)

    Iv still been told different stories from advantage card over phone. They said student discount doesn’t work online anymore and my card isn’t linked . Rang local chemist and she said same and instore they look at your student card on each shop

    18 months or so ago, mine stopped working too - for student discount then it gave up letting me add points.

    I opened a new account with a different email address and customer service transferred my points over and closed the old one down. I popped in store and activated the student discount on the new account and (touch wood) no problems since.

    discount in store and online as long as I activate the discount annually in store
