About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just picked up this year's SUP from Lidl in store.

Last year's had decent reviews, although be fully aware this is not the same quality as more expensive entry level boards at double the price point.

Comes with leash, dual action air pump, extendable universal paddle, kayak conversion seat, carry rucksack and 10L dry bag (excellent value for money in my opinion).

As mentioned in other deals, it lacks the warranty of the more expensive boards.

Link in description is the only place I can find the right information for the product, I am not able to find it online in the UK.

Purchased from Somerford, Bournemouth store. Checked Christchurch and not available there.

Also available at both branches was the Yamaha sea scooter at £249

The gauge on my pump doesn't seem to register - pumped up both chambers until they were firm but the gauge only registers 1psi. Anyone else had similar?

Mine only registers when it's rock solid. Even though it feels fully pumped I think you need to pump it further to get to 15psi

Anyone seen any for sale in the Bristol area recently?

I've seen them at the Lawrence Weston Lidl on Monday

Very tempting after dishing out £25 to rent one for a couple of hours down at the beach

Exactly why bought one. On holiday in Pembrokeshire atm and used it every day. Saved loads on hire costs and really impressed with the board and accessories. Kayak seat works great as well which is a major bonus 👌🏼

Was in the Grantham Lidl last night and they had at least 8 of these still stacked up by the checkouts. Didn't check to see if they had more out back. Tempted to get one for an upcoming trip to Wales... (edited)

Not a good price now compared to the Amazon offerings. They all come out of the same factories in China.

You're just showing your lack of knowledge even more for these now... a seat isn't just for using this as a kayak! If you're touring and want to stop for fishing, lunch etc that's where the seat comes in... We go several times a year to Gorge Du Verdon, we paddle ALL DAY and the seat is a must for us now. We also use the seat clamps to strap several boards together when we're just chillin. You can't just totally write off features of a product just because they don't appeal to YOU!

And once again dual chamber DOES increase stability and rigidity, FACT, I've tried a few and even my first instructor advised me to find one if my budget stretched that far.

For £200 this is a bargain.... I don't get why you're being so pig headed about it....

And you still haven't found a spec for spec model for £150 as you claim!!! (edited)

5091891091659134867.jpgI got one today. Tested in the pool I bought from lidl last year and seems great. Nice and solid. I'm around 90kg and didn't flex at all.

Mistral used to be a top branch for wondering gear. The great Robbie Naish was their star rider

They were indeed. I have an ex championship Equipe long board with three sails and I think it's a thing of beauty (at least 25+ years old).

I got mine in the last £199 event : they’re brilliant! But…. One sprung a small puncture in the seam on side….

Mistral as previously said were the best windsurfers I the 80S I even had their swim shorts. I expect they went bust and a Chinese company bought the name. Truly hope not

How come the Lidl app says these are on sale from Thursday 28th July yet so many people have already seen/bought in store?
    will75's avatar
I thought the same thing, seen this on their deals appear today for the 28th but seems people already have them!

Check them for leaks around the valves as soon as you get it, we bought 3 from two different stores and two had leaks around the valves
    Luis_Azevedo's avatar

    Replying to

had the same problem, used the key, couldnt make it tighter and still bubbles.... the second one was the inner valve... BUT, as the instructions say, to isolate the valves better, I used lubrification around the valve and it was not leaking anymore.

So for those that have already managed to buy one of these, what do you make of it so far? Build qualify, how stable it is etc?

Picked one up last week , tried it out at the weekend. Pumps up easy enough , took 6 minutes start to finish to set up.
Felt solid enough when inflated , pretty stable on the water.
Can't comment on how it compares to other more expensive boards , but I was impressed enough to go and buy a second one.
Seems like a decent board for the price for a starter.
    Hope this helps.

Do these come with any warranty? Bit concerned that some say they leak

On the Mistral website it says 2 years on their products if you buy from them.

Picked one up today... looks pretty good - only query I had was how do you tighten the locking mechanism on the paddle?? When you click mine to locked it's still quite loose and the top section can slide in and out
    Andy.JC's avatar
Open the clamp and turn it clockwise a couple of turns. Easy to do and locks perfectly afterwards 🏼

9 left in Glasgow Auldhouse store. turned up early after after the queues last time they had them and was the only one buying at opening
    Andy.JC's avatar
Same for me in Clevedon. Arrived 10 minutes before store opened and was first in the queue😁
They had a pallet of 16 and only one other guy bought one so plenty left 🏼

Plenty in Newcastle Benwell Lidl, limited wetsuits however

I was on a review site and they didn't give a glowing review. Then they had what you could get instead that is slightly better.

All options were over £450 and only seen slightly better! So I'm happy with this this for under £200, I've never had issues with pricey lidl products before and the one time I did they refunded me after 1 year of use.

Speaking of which does anyone know about the warranty on this?

Looking forward to pumping up and giving it a go over the weekend.
