Gave up on Hello Fresh earlier this year after using them for 2 years. EVERY week multiple items would be missing. They were good at refunding but it was such a pain to deal with every single week.

We were very happy with them, and using them was a huge factor towards me loosing over 40kg, so I will always be very grateful to them. The sad reality though is that they have gone so down hill since the first lockdown. Cutting back the number of ingredients over and over. Plus they changed supplier and loads of the new stuff was awful quality, and loads of bits started to be off by the time you came to use them, only a few days after delivery. Very few new dishes, yet loads of new "Premium" options you have to pay extra for.

So much cost cutting and attempted upselling. Maybe sort your systems out so you can stop having to refund so much every week... We told them over and over yet it was clear noone wanted to hear it.

We gave up and switched to Gousto and have not looked back. Only had one minor missing item in the last few months, it's so refreshing. We still have a folder of our favourite Hello Fresh dishes, and often make them on our non-Gousto days, but I would certainly not recommend using them.

I tried HelloFresh for about 6 boxes . Each box had something or multiple things missing. Was I unlucky?
    adzrules's avatar
No. We use Gousto now and i often think to myself "This is what I expected from HelloFresh". HelloFresh suck.

Good deal, but good luck getting the voucher. They are very very particular in giving the voucher for Hellofresh. It goes through so many steps with vouchercodes regardless of it tracking and verifying, than they contact Hellofresh for them to confirm the discount used and they say no, a VC from there site wasn't used and deny you the Amazon voucher.

Just a heads up, I done this and it turns out you don't get the amazon gift card for 60 days! You also won't get it if you cancel the subscription within this time. Decided just to cancel justnow and recieved a confirmation that the subscription is now cancelled, but I will still be charged for my first box!! Beware!!
    greatnameuk's avatar
so how does that work out at 14.25.....i do not get this offer at all!

has anyone ever got a voucher from vouchercodes? lol (edited)

An expensive box, with an onion, a spud, and some pork chops, for lazy middle class types, to make themselves feel better about their lack of cooking skills (also they bombard you with marketing for ages after you cancel)...

Title says on orders over £14.25 this may not qualify? (edited)

Sounds like a good deal and was about to order. But surely if you cancel after one box (costing £14) you invalidate the terms and won’t ge the £50 Amazon voucher??

Might give this one a miss..

You can skip weeks but you can’t ‘pause’ your subscription.
  8. moorby123's avatar
Anyone know how you can get constant discount after the first few boxes?
    Clairebtiml86's avatar
Keep referring friends, its £20 per referal, think I ended up with £400 in credit x
  9. Davidvia0's avatar
I will try, £11.40 for £50 Amazon voucher would be too good to be true though.
  10. erroll's avatar
Any one else think the HelloFresh mince looks weird?
  11. Kamran1996's avatar
it says purchase with a value of £0.00 will not qualify, but the first transaction of any hello fresh box ix 0.00, so what do you do?
    ukgaz's avatar
That will be pre-auth, they most likely charge you when they dispatch the box.

I amended the menu as I don’t eat pork but now the total is showing as £27 with the discount (3 meals for two)) 🤷‍♂️

Thanks. Its a very confusing site for new users. I worked out I had a premium meal which took the price sky high. I may cancel entirely before the day is out, I am undecided lol (edited)

So does anyone know what the min spend is? I've got plenty of hello fresh credit, I could use,
Anyone know how long the voucher takes to come?
    Thanks
    Yas_Min's avatar
    Anything over £0.00

Despite me being home, Yodel decided to leave my box on a neighbours doorstep instead, thankfully they brought it round.

As for the box, one of the meats had gone off and a couple of items missing for one recipe. I’ve cooked one meal I had the items for and it was quite enjoyable, but this service isn’t for me. I will skip boxes but won’t cancel in the hope of the voucher (edited)

Thanks for posting this. I got my voucher on the 28th

I believe that if you order for 3 people you get considerably more....can't confirm this as its from a friend!
  19. MRP_'s avatar
If I order, verify with VC and then cancel, would I still get the reward?
    Davejay81's avatar
I'll guess no since it usually tracks first before giving out
  20. Chronos1213's avatar
    worth a try

I have a 40% voucher emailed to me to resubscribe - do you think I can use that and get the £50 voucher?
  22. LittleMiss0's avatar
Had a free box from hellofresh, 2 weeks later I got told they had passed my unpaid debt to bailiffs. Spoke to customer service, got the charge cancelled, and closed my account. They tried pulling the same stunt twice more on my closed account!!!! I learned they did the same thing to someone I know from a different part of the UK

Anyway to do this as existing customer? We've found the quality to improve over time but it sounds like it must be us. When it does go wrong I don't think I've ever felt we had to go to the shops to get the missing thing. Just subbed with something. And then they give loads of credit. So all good IMHO. Obithe odd one out!

I think HelloFresh is (has become) really poor value. They bulk meals up with cheap carbs like potato wedges and pasta and you don’t get much of the main ingredient. The quality of the meat is also poor. The menu choices are all a variation on a theme and not very exciting. Gousto is better but in reality you’re better buying your own ingredients. I did try Simply Cook recently and thought it was quite good. You provide the ingredients and they provide the recipes and spices.

So what is the cheapest way to earn the voucher?
  26. ayy_zed's avatar
Had an interview there recently for a tech manager position. Didn’t get the job, reading the comments now kind of glad. I saw the operations, I can see why loads of things end up missing in the boxes

    Probably wants more deliveries!!
    dumb4ss_'s avatar
I have so far skipped every week except the first, to comply with the terms and conditions of the offer.
AFAIK the offer does not state you have to repeat deliveries.
  35. v5535's avatar
    This is proving a dud!
  36. v5535's avatar
    They took another payment!
    Jonwillis's avatar
It is a subscription service, so they'll keep doing it until you cancel
  37. Idntkno's avatar
Mines still expected 28/10. If they pay out I may try another week. I’ve paused it since box #1.
