Great deals. But for me it would take nearly 7 hours door to door. Or fly for 45m. If I'm local to London I'd be more than happy

    A much underrated destination.
Handy for Dordrecht, Kinderdijk, Breda, Gouda, Delft, The Hague, Utrecht.
Everywhere is so easy to reach by train.

Please check the gov.uk website for latest country-specific advice before travelling.

Anyway, restrictions are now vanishing as quickly as they appeared.

  19. mb1's avatar
Shows £29 on the lowest fare calendar, then if you click on it and the website doesn't crash, the prices are over a hundred quid per person! Such a con.

    Website doesn't work.

    They should be called Euroanembarrassment.

The fact that it would cost me more to get to London by train is the absurdity of UK travel.
    herrbz's avatar
Their regular prices are £100-£200, so don't feel too bad

Spent 45 mins trying to book train tickets for January, but the website kept crashing so I gave up.

Went onto the Ryanair website instead and am now going to Stockholm for £40pp return and staying in a nice boat hotel with sea views for £55 a night.

Not quite the trip I initially had in mind, but I’m happy all the same.

  24. Ben_M_Cambs's avatar
Booked Amsterdam for in Jan (going to be chilly) , Sat-Tues decent times £29 each way. Yes, the hotels will probably be a bit expensive.. but any recommendations would be great.
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Stay outside of Amsterdam for cheaper hotel options and it's only 20 mins to Amsterdam Centraal by train (e.g. Haarlem or Zaandam).
You can get the Amsterdam & Region transport ticket (€36.50 for 3 days). Buy it online or in Amsterdam when you arrive.
    iamsterdam.com/en/…ket
Gives you unlimited train/tram/bus travel within a wide area that includes Haarlem & Zaandam.
We stayed at Inntel in Zaandam which was fun, and right by the station.
