That’s very nice. <3
Well you are doing a job which you trained for and are paid to do no matter if it's good time or bad ones. Don't try claiming you stay all these hours after working hours etc and are not paid for it that is not true I have plenty of family members in NHS and ones in different countries over the world involved in health care this country is very generous and strict with hours, breaks etc. Dying patients and dealing with family members is part of the job you don't like it move to different line of work so dumb what next a person who works on a checkout moaning about having to interact with customers. Never complain about your work you are doing it now. Total BS you would not do that job for 0 a complete lie otherwise why are you not working for a charity for free or giving away your salary. Some people in other countries may be true but not people in this country in asian countries nurses are working 16hr+ plus having to live in hospital throughout this
you can apply for a refund if you have already paid. I think there is an online form
you would be suprised at just how many of us nhs workers do extra hours for nothing.Your remarks are nothing short of rude, lets hope you dont find out the hard way that some are heroes.Im looking after covid patients how about volunteering to work a shift on a covid ward if you think its easy
Personally "Hero worship" I also don't get or need. I'm not simply doing a job I get paid for. I'm not expected to work over my contracted hours. Stay long after my shift has ended because the patients were compromised and no staff to relieve me so I could go home. I'm not expected to work in an environment where my life is literally at risk. I'm not expected to have an increased workload where care delivered could be compromised. Not have a break for 4 to 6 hrs (even on a 7.5 hr shift). Staff have pressure sores on the bridge of their noses from masks. Consistently hold a higher than usual number of hands as they die without family members or friends. Listening to relatives cries and pleading in the phones. Those calls don't stop. Never do I complain about my work. I would wake up up happy to go to work the pay didn't matter. Didn't matter that my own injury reduces my abilities. Yet here I am working. Can assure we are not simply doing a job we are paid to do. But thanks for the clarity of what is not a 'Hero'.
Already bought my pass 🙈
Another NHS gig live from midland bus service
Really! So only two people on a bus? Wouldn't it be better to run smaller vehicles and save grettas planet for when this is all over? But still a good service that I'm sure will help some people.
Heat added (y)
Fabulous they deserve more that free transport right now but it’s a good start carers and NHS are stars. I have carers that come to my house twice a week and there fabulous xxx
Good job. Would be £3.50 per day saved from my home to Mater return instead of all day ticket. (y)
This will be a great way to spread the virus
Great, so if they don’t get COVID-19 at work, they’ll get it on public transport!
Is Bullcrap Boris donating his bus?
I can barely fit an xc90 on my driveway
They are our real super heroes.. Got it from Facebook.. (highfive)
https://www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/coronavirus For tickets purchased from our website, mobile site or app (with the exception of Season tickets), we are waiving the usual £10 charge and all refunds are now processed free of charge. Advance train tickets bought before 07:00 on Monday 23 March are eligible for a refund providing they have not been used. It does state you should get a refund
Anyone else finding that Train operators are ignoring the Governments Emergency Rules regarding refunds for Advance Tickets? Last week I requested a refund for 2 Advance tickets for last Monday from Crosscountry Trains, that I purchased ages ago. They've just responded to say I can only have a refund if I buy 2 new tickets for some date in the future, then they will process the refund. Thats not what the rules say, and in any case, even if I did buy new tickets do I trust them to refund the old ones now that the travel date has passed? No, I'd probably just be throwing good money after bad.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get refunds on railcards please (e.g. the disabled card or senior rail card) while it is not possible to use them?
https://www.c2c-online.co.uk/media-centre/latest-news/coronavirus-refunds/ Please note that in line with our Passenger Charter, the price of an annual season ticket offers significant savings because it offers 52 weeks of travel for the price of 40 weeks. This means that if it is more than 40 weeks since your annual season ticket started, your ticket no longer holds any refund value. You therefore will not receive any money back if you apply for any refund.
Those who had booked a return trip with TrainLine can you please confirm if you were charged 2% off your refund? We received a refund but we're charged a 2% fee.
Your post is a faked photo and claim, photo was for "Hundreds Of African Migrants Feared Dead Off The Coastline Of Lampedusa." The picture was taken by the photographer Tullio M. Puglia. A real photo is found in below:- https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-everyone-dies-alone-heartbreak-at-the-italian-hospital-on-the-brink-of-collapse-11961130
Free euthanasia, hot.
This is an absurd proposal. Even if alright now, hypothetically, in a week is a vastly different number in infections and deaths. Disease outbreak is an exponential rise, not linear, in time. Contact risk, is order of 15 mins or more, 2 metres front and back rows of someone shedding virus.
Errrrr.... you sure that's a good idea?
Let's say this is a lot more common than people think.
i applied for a refund on my season ticket with thameslink on monday. no response.
Doncaster to London including tube. Just over 13k unfortunately.
LNER/Trainline will only offer to change advance tickets if done a minimum of 15 minutes before original departure time.
My 1000 points have been added today, purchased on 13th March
Don't bother. Not tracked and hassle getting it sorted.
I'm surprised they didn't just point to "...amend these terms without notice..." and "withdraw this offer at any time". Or point 10 in the terms on the link to their website for more general terms relating to Nectar: Website Avanti West Coast reserves the right to: At any time, withdraw Nectar points that were awarded in the case of fraudulent activity or in error. Delay or refuse issuing Nectar points. Amend these terms at any time Hard to think of how much more they could have written into their terms to permit them to reject every claim for Nectar points whenever they feel like it, which is good enough reason to avoid them IMO. Unless a query to Nectar helpdesk would get your points sorted without grief in the event they don't come through automatically.
trying some of the previous similar offers - none of them tracked, then spent hours complaining on the chat - who instead of helping is looking for issues why not to give you points, they will highlight non-existing requirements like wrong train, wrong type of ticket, wrong dates, too low amount, and in the end copy of the offer is required for them to proceed with the goodwill points - after multiple chats where some of them ended by saying the points will be with you in the next 30 days - only to come back within 30 days to complain again :-) hard pass
childs ticket Birmingham new st to Birmingham international £1.65
No but the train only runs on summer Saturdays so if you didn't come back the same day you'd have to wait until the following Saturday to get this price, or pay the normal fare, which is a lot more. Also, its £12.50 each way, its not a return ticket, in case you didn't realise.
Do you have to return on the same date to get that price ?
I live in Tenby and on Saturdays in the summer i see the London high speed train arrive in the morning suggesting to me that there are no changes to the local small trains so yes first class all the way
Because the previous stop is Pembroke then Tenby, Saundersfoot etc beautiful Welsh country.
Love that :-)
Good deal for unlimited travel, heat added and thanks for posting :)
voted hot , Good deal for leisure travellers, if trains are running and no engineering works! I might go to the Isle of Wight. Probably commuters voting cold, Southern have upset a few customers.
don't know why it's cold with no comments. Cheaper than a return from the coast to London, and potentially useful for Sussex excursions
“On the national express, when your life is a mess, it’ll make you smile.”
I tired that code but wouldn't let me enter it,on ticket cheaper option
don't you have to pay more to enter codes into national express, I had student code from nus and when I select the ticket I clicked cheapest but it says can't enter code, why the normal option you can enter code but with code still works out more
The one and only time I did this they added 10% on! I kid you not. Personally won't be using this again. I hope others do benefit though
Unidays and Totum/NUS offer 15% off if you’re a current student, used to be 20% - but it seems you may be able to get 20% off if you have an ISIC.
For an extra £3 you get wider opening windows, enabling you to shout abuse out, but they open them even wider as you pass COVID19 hospitals.
Good price but for real wouldn't even go for £5 with the current situation. Not worth risking anything till it calms down
Unfortunately not mate. You could try calling and asking if they can sort the deal for one way or try looking for cheap one way flights on kayak
no don't touch the hand rail. dripping with virius.
Ah I only need one-way (going on from Paris to elsewhere in France for a wedding). I don't suppose you know what they tend to drop the cheapest fare to for a one-way trip not part of a return?
Thanks pal I’ll give it a try!
Been advised from their CS... The next stage of the refund process is to complete this online form: firstgroup-refunds.fastrailticketing.com/?s=TransPennine+Express You'll need to fill out a refund from for each of the booking references you've purchased
My account shows 'Awaiting refund' and it's been that way for about 3 weeks now.
Hi Does someone succeed in refunds?
Is it possible to get one-way fares for £29 or is that price only valid if it's part of a return trip? Also, have the cheaper fares been applicable to the end of July yet? I have my eye on a one-way trip at the end of July and the cheapest tickets are currently £57 each one-way - not sure whether to purchase or wait and see if any promotions come along?
Think So. Might ask in my local station Brighton but normally they say the pass is your ticket and let you through the gates.
So they think it's still valid?
Got this from Interrail today Thank you for contacting the Interrail.eu customer service team. You can use your Interrail Global Pass in your own country during two travel days of your choice. For instance, one outbound trip (leaving your own country) and one inbound trip (entering your own country). You can take as many trains in your own country as necessary. I suggest you read the information on this page carefully, where you can see how this works. I trust this answers your question. We hope you have a great day! Best regards, Suzane Customer service team Interrail.eu
Interestingly the UK won't sell it because it 'competes' with another package they sell that UK residents can't buy! EDIT: It says it isn't brexit related but is an obvious comparison, we used to be joined now they all still are but we are on our own. I have no idea how many people used these passes to visit the UK while touring the EU but I suspect most won't bother if extra charges apply whereas all the other countries are included.
Anyone know what attractions on the route are free (y) to get in? TIA
The worst places for stabbings after London is Birmingham, liverpool, Nottingham, Manchester, Blackpool . Lets not pretend this isn't an issue everywhere. Most folk who harp on about Piccadilly Gardens being a hole are them that only venture into the centre for a primark sale
Also if you go to Liverpool you can witness Britain's largest concentration of Shellsuited, Workshy, unintelligible thieves.
Open top bus tour of Manchester...In February, Can just imagine now If you look to your left you will see the Majestic gardens of Piccadilly And if you look to your right you will see the famous Big issue seller getting into their Bentley. :D
is there anything to see in manchester that warrants a tourist bus?
Day passes which you can use on any bus and multiple routes is £3 under 16. You may need a iGo card to prove age. Adults is £6.
Not sure, Ive not used it. Its a discount card for NHS, emergency services and armed service personnel.
What's "blue light" card?
What? Didn’t know this so thanks!! Is this online or booking on the day?
Rubbish , unreliable, used them last time to go to airport, the bus didn't turn up as shedulded nearly missed my flight.
And dont forget... If you have a 'blue light' card you can get National express anywhere to anywhere return for £18.
Northern Fail ......Joke of a rail company Trains will be cancelled 100% guaranteed....... They can't get the drivers to work overtime on Sunday.
I have a delay repay ticket compensation but I don't have any idea where I should go (confused)
the operators are still god awful though haha!
Can't blame the operators for track work.
Add delay repay and it could be a cheap ticket
