Earning ASDA RewardsWhen participating in ASDA Rewards you can earn ASDA Rewards value, also referred to as ASDA Pounds, into your ASDA Pounds Cashpot (the area in the ASDA Rewards app where value collects) either by:Purchasing Star Products
  • A Star Product is a nominated product on which you will earn ASDA Rewards value into your ASDA Pounds Cashpot when purchased (for example, purchasing a specific size, brand and type of cereal), collectively known as Star Products. The ASDA Rewards value earned varies by Star Product.
  • Only certain pack sizes / weight and variations may be nominated Star Products.
  • Star Products are available for a limited time only and when the product is no longer nominated as a Star Product you will no longer earn ASDA Rewards when it is purchased.
  • To earn ASDA Rewards on Star Products included in your shop, you must have completed the transaction, meaning if you're shopping in-store, payment is completed and you have received a receipt (subject to store opening hours), or if you are shopping online with GHS, you have completed and paid for your order online with no further amendments before 23:50 on the day the Star Product nomination ends. For terms on amended orders, see paragraph 4.6.
  • Star Products, amounts and dates are clearly displayed on in-store signage, online on GHS and in the Star Products listing in the ASDA Rewards app.
  • The number of nominated Star Products on offer each time you shop (if any) may vary and all products are subject to stock availability.
Completing Missions
  • A Mission is a task that will earn ASDA Rewards value into your ASDA Pounds Cashpot if you successfully complete it, collectively known as Missions.
  • Missions are published in the ASDA Rewards app (and from time to time also on signage in ASDA stores and on promotional banners online within GHS). Details are provided on the criteria you need to meet to complete a Mission, such as spending a certain amount or shopping a certain number of times within a certain period of time or on certain types of products.
  • When you successfully complete a Mission, in line with the completion criteria, you will earn an ASDA Rewards value. The available ASDA Pounds you can earn varies by Mission and is shown in the ASDA Rewards app for each Mission.
  • Excluded Items will not count towards any Missions. Excluded Items are petrol, all items from a petrol station, postage stamps, tobacco and tobacco related products, gift vouchers and gift cards, lottery, phone top up cards/vouchers, pharmacy, NHS prescriptions, infant formula, and, third party concessions or products.
  • Where a Mission requires spend of a specific amount, the spend amount taken to qualify towards Mission completion is after any other discounts have been applied (for example where items are reduced, where items are free or discounted on promotion (e.g. multibuy) or when using a discount card).
  • To complete a Mission, all criteria detailed within the Mission must be met before the "Mission End Date" which is shown in the ASDA Rewards app. For a shop to qualify towards a Mission you must have completed the transaction, meaning if you're shopping in-store, payment is completed and you have received a receipt (subject to store opening hours), or if you are shopping online with GHS, you have completed and paid for your order online with no further amendments, before 23:50 on the day the Mission ends. Once the Mission End Date has passed you will no longer be able to earn the ASDA Rewards value for the ended Mission. For terms on amended orders, see paragraph 4.6.
  • You will not earn anything for partially completed or incorrectly completed Missions. You can view and track your personal progress through Missions in the ASDA Rewards app.
  • The number of Missions available to you at any time (if any) may vary.
  • We cannot guarantee stock availability at the time you shop and if a required product to complete a Mission is not available at the time you shop there is no alternative
Only transactions where you buy nominated Star Products or successfully complete available Missions will earn ASDA Rewards value. When shopping in store, in order to earn ASDA Rewards value in respect of Missions and Star Products, you must scan your ASDA Rewards digital card (your unique barcode) from the ASDA Rewards app during checkout at an ASDA store when purchasing the applicable goods. You must present your ASDA Rewards digital card to a colleague for scanning, or scan it at a self-checkout, before completing payment. ASDA Rewards cannot be retroactively earned. When shopping online with GHS, in order to earn ASDA Rewards value in respect of Missions and Star Products, you must have placed the order with an active ASDA Rewards account linked to your GHS account. Your ASDA Rewards account and GHS account will automatically be linked when you sign-in to your GHS account having registered as an ASDA Rewards Member through the ASDA Rewards app. Please note that the terms and conditions that apply for GHS will apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions. The ASDA Rewards value you earn (by purchasing Star Products and completing Missions) in line with these terms will be added to your ASDA Pounds Cashpot. It may take 24 hours for earnings to be added to your ASDA Pounds Cashpot. You can view your ASDA Pounds Cashpot activity using the ASDA Rewards app.In the case of using ASDA Rewards with GHS, there are some additional terms that apply relating to timing of earning ASDA Rewards value, substitutions and amendments:Timing of earning
  • ASDA Pounds will be applied to your account following fulfilment (delivery or collection) of your shop. Any activity such as amendments or substitutions may impact on the amount of ASDA Pounds earned on that shop.
Substitutions
  • Where we substitute (in accordance with the GHS terms and conditions) one or more products from your order that were eligible to have ASDA Pounds earned on them, your ASDA Pounds earnings will be amended.
  • Should you accept this substitution in full, we will honour the ASDA Rewards value that you would have received on your original product purchase.
  • Should you reject any part of the substitution, you will not receive any ASDA Pounds for the product ordered.
Amendments
  • You are only eligible to receive ASDA Pounds once your order is fulfilled. If you make any amendments to your order before it is fulfilled, for example removing a product from your original order, this will impact the ASDA Pounds that you earn on all products in that entire order. Any Star Products or Missions that have ended between your initial order and amendment that are no longer live, will be removed. Any new offers will be applied. The ASDA Pounds that you have earned will appear in your ASDA Rewards app once the order has been fulfilled.
From time to time we may also offer other promotions under which you can earn ASDA Pounds. These are at our sole discretion and will be subject to additional terms communicated to you at the time.In order to ensure fair use of ASDA Rewards by everyone, earning ASDA Rewards is subject to a Maximum Earning Limit of £300 in ASDA Pounds Cashpot earnings per quarter, in each calendar year. Earnings beyond this limit will no longer add to your ASDA Pounds Cashpot. Earnings from the ASDA Money Credit Card are not subject to this condition.ASDA Rewards earning may be deducted from your ASDA Pounds Cashpot if you later return the Star Product(s) or items which contributed to Mission(s) completion. Each month, any unused ASDA Pounds in your ASDA Pounds Cashpot, which have not yet been converted into Vouchers, will expire within 6 months after the month in which they have been earned. For example, any ASDA Pounds earned throughout the month of June, will expire at the end of December, if left unused. ASDA Pounds earned throughout the month of July and left unused will expire at the end of January, in the following year. Some further terms that apply to the expiry of ASDA Pounds are as follows:
  • ASDA Pounds are considered "used" at the point they are converted into a Voucher through the ‘Spend’ page in the app (see details on Vouchers in paragraph 5).
  • Your earliest earned ASDA Pounds will always be used first when creating Vouchers. When you create a Voucher, the Voucher expiry terms will apply in accordance with paragraph 5.14.
  • This paragraph 4.10 is effective from 18/07/2022. Any ASDA Pounds earned prior to that date will be treated as earned on 18/07/2022, and must be used by 23.50 on 31/01/2023..

Or create a PaddyPower and/or Betfair account, deposit £10 and withdraw a £20 Asda, Argos or Sainsburys gift card by selecting to withdraw via Prizeout gift card. They will double your withdrawal up to £10.

Asda seem to increase their prices much more and more often than the other leading supermarkets, I think it's on par with Sainsbury's now. Tesco seem to be more reasonable and their own range of items (most of which is price matched to Aldi) is far better quality than Asdas.

Absolutely. Booked online shop for my son for Xmas week a month ago and keep emailing me making me aware of price changes. Was £87 and now £124 and another week and a half yet xx

Managed to get £17.50 back on my shopping as I bought over £25 of Extra Special items and also spent over £50 so both offers stacked, got another £1 bonus from the spending milestone and a star buy bonus on something else. Used £40 in gift cards I got from Betfair and Paddypower for £20 along with a £5 gift card I bought from Topcashback yesterday with a £2 cashback bonus so overall have saved £39.50 on my shop! 😁

Does anyone know if it ‘stacks’ with other missions? :/ ie if I complete the laundry mission as part of my £50 shop would I get both rewards? Ty in advance x
    cristoff's avatar
    cristoff
Yep it’ll stack. If it was a ‘milestone mission’ it wouldn’t as you’d need to do more before, but this is in addition to anything else you’d get back

I downloaded the app but did not use it and then had a fiver reward just for using it the first time. A quid reward if I spend £50 and another quid for spending £18 on fruit or veg (the £18 does come off the £50), see what turns up when I get those two. I used the rewards to get their frozen scampi down to pre-inflation levels but it is money I would have spent there anyway. Some stuff is relatively cheap, others expensive - probably how they can afford to give money away. Lots of free money floating around, had a tenner from paypal, a fiver from Amazon, etc.

Surprised that this was hiding away buried within all the useless earn rewards - you'd think if they were intending to encourage me to spend they'd have made it a bit more prominent (like how Sainsbury's do when they put a discount off £x spend in the Nectar app)

The amount they allow for missions is the total shop before any rewards vouchers or vouchers from topgiftcards etc.

Also if theres a mutlibuy for something thats part of a mission then the total counts before the multibuy discount

So if you spend a lot at Asda then you can get a lot back with rewards - there's of plenty signs in store about it (edited)
