I got this last time it was on - DO NOT BUY!

the mechanism holding it while its up is absolutely unfit for purpose and it will collapse on itself - will barely hold a couple of pairs of socks once used 3 times in my case

    Cheap for a reason! (edited)

Return it! Sounds like there's an issue with the locking clips. Mine has been fantastic, I hang full heavy loads on it for 3 adults including heavy hoodies, jeans etc plus an extra camping washing line pulled around for socks and undies, it's not let me down once. Sounds like you've been unlikely to get a faulty one (edited)

This will do you better, has metal clips that keep it upright.
wilko.com/en-…006 few quid more but probably well worth it.

I can also recommend this one from dunelm. Really sturdy, doesn’t feel rickety like the Addis one with the plastic clips to hold it upright. dunelm.com/pro….ds

I have first hand experience with a warranty claim. I bought this from George online last year and 2 of the legs broke, 1 after the other within a short period.

Contacted Addis customer service from their website and told them that it broke even though I never hung more than 1 machine load at a time. Had to attach pictures as well.

They sent out a replacement which I received within a few days of contacting them, no further questions. The new one I received has a metallic locking mechanism compared to the plastic one on the Asda ones and has held up much better so far.

I got a Matt black one from dunelm which I think is brilliant. Loads of hanging space in a really compact form. I prefer the dunelm one over my Addis one as the dunelm one has an all metal build so feels much stronger. This one however has plastic clips which hold it up which don’t feel as strong as the metal ones on my dunelm version.

That's great. However I've had no issue at all with the plastic clips on mine, no complaints with it at all, I paid £16 and worth it imo.
How much is the Dunelm one?
