As people had alluded to, often portrayed as a weapon.
However at their thickest only about 4" across and swung from behind the head.
in my experience most people miss as there is more than enough time to just step backwards as the attacker is committed to a large uncontrolled swing.
If you can get inside that swing that arc the attacker is very very exposed.
Also ineffective inside the average house as you need a circle of about ten feet to swing it and your outstretched arms right round.
Above your head if youre, say 5'8", needs a ceiling of about 11 feet.

Legally not per se a prescribed item so no need for a ball or glove etc. The burden would be on the prosecution to show it was intended to be used as an offensive weapon.
Believe me there are many many houses with these lent against the wall by the front door. Not a criminal offence.

Looks good on the Sopranos though.

Surely if someone is in your house uninvited it would be intended as a defensive weapon!

Saw the video review about it looking like it had split and was glued back together. Don't want to risk it breaking and becoming useless.

Now, if I wanted to play baseball with it, then I might consider it.

Reminds me of the London riots a few years ago. Went into Sports Direct and was surprised the number of pensioners - especially ladies in their 80s - picking up golf, buying 9 irons and pitchers!
