I used to love this offer, but since covid I can't get over the thought of all those grubby kids grabbing handfuls of sweets whilst leaving their germs behind for everyone else 🤮 🤧

    Good for the immune system

My local Wilko is farrrrr too dirty to be buying pick n mix from
but if anyone has a B&M or Heron near them they do Cinema Mix bags for £2 which is basically a (clean) pick n mix with loads of different sweets in (and my favourite fizzy bubblegum bottles). (edited)

Would have been better having it on for half term week (from the 20th), but will partake regardless 😁

It's half term next week in my neck of the woods. Roads will be much clearer in the morning which is a godsend 😁 🏻

You lot make me laugh … pick n mix germs been around since the start of pick n mix but we’re all here safe and sound. Buy the pick n mix and leave it if your that bothered about germs. Geez.

Half the world are going around exchanging bodily fluids with each other so what’s the difference

    ParkyBoy28's avatar
Agreed. It's crazy, we will all be scared to do anything at this rate. Germs are everywhere. Buy the sweets if you want and if ur bothered about germs stay indoors in a self cleaning space suit.

Wouldn't go now that dogs are allowed to go in and cock their leg up and pee over the merchandise.
Last summer holiday, the pick and mix stand was covered in blowflies too, like they were hatching out of something is the display unit. (edited)

I used to love this deal and cram as much as I could in the cups but since covid I’ve been reluctant to buy them now,.

If it's specifically Covid you're worried about there's supposed to be very low risk of surface transmission. If it's just an increased awareness that we're bathing in each others' microbiomes on the daily then I'm right there with you.

Prices are wrong. Small is £1.25, medium £1.75 and large £2.25

Took my children after school to get a tub each. Was pleasantly surprised that the stand was fully stocked and all the sweets super fresh and soft this time. Think no one had noticed the half price sign so there was plenty of choice for us

Top tip - don't buy any with child sized bite marks in

I used to love this deal popping up around half term etc.

Candy King quality is just rubbish these days, dull and indistinguishable sweets unfortunately. (edited)

Good deal, but I do worry about the germs too!
    xenophon's avatar
No need, I'm sure they'll have their fill before or after.
  27. blahblahblah1234's avatar
Nothing wrong with exposure to a few germs, boost your natural immunity.
  28. azza452's avatar
    Germs?

I could drop a fizzy cola bottle in a public toilet and still eat it

Serious question though, is 2 regular cups more than 1 large cup? (edited)
    greatnameuk's avatar
why not tip two cups into one and find out? lol

the old days it use to be on the weight of course... (edited)
