The AnySharp knife sharpener gets almost any blunt knife sharp again in seconds, extending it's useful life, and making cutting easier and safer. Whether you're slicing meat, dicing vegetables, or carving the Sunday Roast, a sharp blade makes cutting effortless. AnySharp Knife Sharpener restores a super sharp cutting edge to blunt knife blades that have dulled with use. The unique, patented AnySharp Knife Sharpener uses tungsten carbide technology to extend the life of almost any knife. AnySharp works on virtually any steel knife, including expensive hardened steel knives and even serrated blades (like bread knives and hunting knives), making it unlike any knife sharpener, sharpening steel or sharpening stone youve ever used. - Hands free safety - Knife Edge Safety - Less chance of accidents No skill required anyone can get great results! The optimum angle to sharpen a good quality steel knife is 20 degrees. AnySharp is pre-set at 20 degrees to give a perfect edge every time. Getting a consistent angle with a sharpening stone is a skilled job, but AnySharp allows anyone to get professional results without any training at all. Once you have fixed the AnySharp to a work surface, you can sharpen knives easily and safely using just one hand. All you need to do is just gently draw the blade through the tungsten carbide sharpening edges, 3 or 4 times to restore a super sharp cutting edge.

AnySharp is Safer by Design

4093092-6rGTM.jpg
Hands free safety
The AnySharp’s safety feature is its PowerGrip suction cup base, which attaches securely to any smooth surface or worktop without the need for any tools. Once it’s attached you can sharpen any knife safely hands free.

4093092-rl7GL.jpg
Knife edge safety
When your whole knife has been run through, your knife edge may touch as it exits the sharpening tools. The AnySharp has a long-lasting polymer guiding top that is softer than metal, and therefore won’t damage the metal edge, making it safe for your knives too.

4093092-GFg4T.jpg
Easy, light strokes
With a totally blunt knife, AnySharp will hone it to an optimal angle, and remove excess metal rapidly the first time you use it. AnySharp does not work well with heavy strokes or too much pressure.

Please use only light pressure.

Store it easily and conveniently out of the way
Since it is so small and light, AnySharp can be easily tidied away in a drawer, cupboard, or tool box when not needed. You could even PowerGrip it to your fridge or tiled kitchen wall, out of the way yet handy when you need it.

This post on Reddit (LINK HERE) includes two excellent images of the difference between pull through sharpeners and whetstones or grit.

The images show clearly the jagged serrated edge created by a pull through sharpener and the cleaner edge created with whetstones.

I used one of these for years and it was OK, but since getting the LIDL whetstone (posted on here a couple of weeks ago) I realise how bad a job this type of sharpener does. With a bit of time on the whetstone the knives are razor sharp. It's night and day. If you have decent kitchen knives do yourself a favour and spend the extra couple of quid and a few minutes and you'll be amazed. Quite therapeutic also

Would this qualify for the £5 off £15? I thought it was only Amazon brands and most the stuff I've wanted to get hasn't qualified

    This sharpener is really brutal.
It does what it says on the tin, but removes a lot of metal in the process.
I fully agree with previous comments, use it with cheap knives.
But please, if you've any good, expensive knives with a properly hardened edge, keep them away from this gadget!

What is the problem with removing a lot of metal ?. Keep in mind it takes you a few decades and a few hundred of sharpening stroke to remove the metal until the knife become useless. Your time to sharpen the knife is more expensive

Definitely for people who put their knives in the dishwasher and use glass chopping boards.

Wrecks your knives. Don't bother with anything you want to last.

The reality is anyone using this is almost certainly using cheap knives and if so this is just fine for that

As people have said, fine for cheap knives, please don't use it on anything nice as it ruins the edge.

I have said it for years- this sharpener and cheap knifes = all you need. I bought a fancy sharpener when I last went to Japan last year and still not sure if this is is not equal.

I agree that cheap knives and this are all most households need, albeit you are left with a jagged, borderline serrated (but food prep sharp) edge that won't pass the paper test. What did you buy in Japan and what knives did you use it on? (edited)

Can you be bothered to sharpen your knives properly with different grades of whetstone and stropping? Then do that, it's the best.

Can you not be bothered? Buy this. Even a cheap knife will be sharp in seconds and it'll save you having to buy new ones. It's not perfectly sharp and it erodes your knives more quickly than sharpening, but it's a question of what is practical.

You do not need to use different grades and you never need to strop a kitchen knife unless you plan on shaving with it.

Yes it's still quicker to use something like this than a whetstone, but it probably takes me 5 minutes on a single stone vs 1 minute with this.

Thanks OP. While since I used Asda click and collect but it seems to want to add 50p for just choosing a date to pick up? Then help files says click and collect orders under £25 is plus £3 as well.
    So what is it?
Appears cheaper to go for Amazon one?

A whole 50p? How are you gonna afford rent this month with a massive charge like that? Hope you’re ok

This product actually isnt very good, I've had a couple and it doesn't really sharpen the blade of the knife properly, rather it etches into just above the blade's edge. It's a good idea, but it doesn't work particularly well in my experience...

I use this on my cheap ikea knives. Yes it wears away the metal, but the knives are sharp and cut well. The rate that it wears the blades down means that they will probably only last another couple of decades...

Ruins your blades. Get whetstone instead, spend 10-15 minutes watching a video on how to use it, some practice and you are sorted. Anysharp just shaves off your blades, chips them and etc, just have a closer look how uneven the edge become, it tears rather than cuts..
