Eicher Premium Brake DiscMost modern cars have disc brakes on the front wheels, and some have disc brakes on all four wheels. The function of the brake disc is to slow down or stop the car. When the brake pedal is pressed the brake pads "squeeze" the brake disc which generates friction.

Brake discs should be replaced when they are worn below the minimum thickness, worn unevenly, warped or heavily scored. Should be replaced in pairs with new brake pads fitted at the same time.

hopefully there are only one size for these then, otherwise its a great deal, but dont forget if you buy new disc's to get a set of new pads too.

If you don't mind paying a bit extra i purchased some front Pagid discs from halfords for just under £39 for my corolla which in my opinion are a much better brand.

Agree. Better to spend a bit extra for a reputable brand. These are brakes after all…some things you just don’t cut corners on

Nothing wrong with Eicher, They meet O.E.M. specifications!

Bang on, so many uninformed comments here - unless I'm wrong (and I'm happy to be corrected) Eicher are made by TMD Friction, the largest supplier of OEM discs, and from what I can tell the Eicher discs are made in the UK in their Kilmarnock factory. TMD also make discs for Textar, TRW, Pagid, Mintex, Bendix etc potentially in the same factory as these are made!
They all meet the required safety spec so are absolutely fine. If you're track racing your car then you maybe want to look at a more premium quality set, but these are all you need for your Corolla! (edited)

Literally made by the same company, TMD Friction!

I'd look at Febi Bilstein discs and pads. Very good quality

I bought a set of their discs to put on mine soon so glad to hear that. Are they a sister company of blueprint? Are they much the same quality?

I personally wouldn't buy these Chinese brands with germanized brand names. Better to buy proper quality for a few bucks more. I am happy with ATE discs.

    WRONG!
    Eicher are manufactured in UK.

Eicher are made in the UK by TMD Friction (factory in Kilmarnock). TMD are the largest supplier of OEM brake parts in the world and also make parts for Pagid, Mintex, Bendix, Textar etc. They are perfectly safe.

They meet eu standards don't see the issue .of your a boy racer then they won't be up to much but for your nan to go Tesco's she's never going to see the difference

Good price. Anyone know a good deal on a Corolla though?

Lot of people are showing they have absolutely no idea about the product.

Personally I run Brembo GT ceramic and 6pot callipers on my 1.4 Corolla, anything else is just unsafe.

    Is "corolla" a bad word?

I put a pair of these on my car and within 2 years the corrosion was horrendous. So much so, it became a MOT advisory.
    grumpyturnip's avatar
It's just untreated mild steel after all and sadly it does rust.

Seems a very niche market. Must have specific car. I don’t… but if I did I would just take to my local garage. In terms of price though it does seem good….

I replaced mine with a cheapie ( 22 quid) from Euro about 2 years ago. Absolutely no probs, unless you do a lot of high speed braking or your pads are worn, don't see any problem
