sorted byModern phones negotiate the charge rate so it's best to have a charger that is slightly higher than the phones maximum and a charger that supports the various quick charging standards like PD 3.0 and QC. The phone can then negotiate the voltage and amps and get the highest watts for charging. A modern phone with battery management shouldn't have a negative effect by using a higher capacity charger, but they won't always/ever use that available power so no point spending extra on a 65 watt charger if your phone is 18 watts max.
