It’s expensive. This is HP’s super budget line (it’s called ‘Notebook’ and way below the mid-range Pavilion and Envy) and the display is awful - it’s full HD but it’s a dim TN panel with poor colour and viewing angles.

For this money you can get much better equipped machines, possibly even 12th Gen. A much better but similar spec machine is the Acer Aspire 5 which includes an IPS panel.

Very is a terrible retailer too - absolutely abysmal customer service.

Okay, thanks. Any examples of where these are available for similar price?

15.6 inch screen??? Why and why??? Why make laptop screens sooo HUGE??? Maximum screen size should be 14 inches. How are you supposed to carry this around trains and airports???

For the people who want a big screen and won't need to carry on trains and airports

I always recommend stone refurb. They don't pay me (if they want to that's fine by me) but I got my last 2 laptops from there and will be getting my next there too

    I have seen an HP elitebook 850 g7 touch screen i5 10th gen 16gb and 512gb ssd Win11 pro

These are the premium line ( hardware is generally 3x times expensive on these ) and the company was selling with hp onsite warranty till 2025, more then 2 years, that machine was slightly over this but i think its a much better choice then this entry level.
