£4.95 seems like a good price and it has been at this price point for some time. I am re-posting it in a hope to get some help. I have added my question in the comment section, any help will be much appreciated!

  • Instant High Grab Adhesive: Using hybrid polymer technology Stixall takes the features of silicone and polyurethane to form the incredible high strength, high grab, primerless adhesive.
  • Exterior and Interior Uses: Ideal for bonding mirrors to most common surfaces, automotive gap filing and sealing, jointing cladding panels and much more.
  • Multifunctional: High instant grab adhesion to most internal and external surfaces including glass, metals, plastic, concrete, plasterboard, polyester, Perspex, wood, enamel, painted surfaces and much more.
  • Application: Apply using a caulk, sealant / adhesive cartridge application gun, we recommend the Everbuild Power Pro Heavy Duty Sealant / Adhesive Cartridge Applicator Gun.
  • Excellent primerless adhesion to most surfaces, including metals, most plastics, glass, concrete, plaster, plasterboard, polyester, perspex, glass, wood, enamel, painted surfaces etc.

I came across this when I was looking for a product to fill gaps between coving and wall. May not be the right product for my intended use, but may do the job. Any other recommendation or suggestion will be highly appreciated

Caulk, as suggested, don't use silicone, you can't paint over it. Hard to see the degree of water damage, but if staining is quite bad you might want to use some Zinsser cover stain paint before painting, presumably white. Caulk the gap, if it needs smoothing a wet finger often does the trick! Caulk is much easier to work with than stuff like Stixall - different stuff entirely, but very good

Pink grip solvent is £28 for 12, just as good but a lot cheaper

Pinkgrip stinks, not something you want to be using in a used living area. It's pink so needs more finishing if in a visible area. It's also fussier and you need to do more surface prep to get a decent fix (I have found with dustier substrate) especially if it's an older tube, which you'll have eventually if you buy 12.

A tradie favourite, use it for everything, slap it on and run before they notice

This stuff is very good but with all these things only buy when you need them as they don't store great, especially once opened

I've used this as caulking both indoors and outside.
Indoors it looks beautiful when applied - crystal clear and shiny, but within a year it's discolouring to a translucent light tan.
Outside, again, looks good when applied, but it's NOT UV stable, and breals down withing 18months - two years.

I will never use it again

Why would you not just use caulk?

What did you buy for £12???

This is excellent for a lot of job (not caulking) but never lasts more than about 4 weeks once opened. Its normally a couple of pound more than this, so its a good deal.

If you want to bond stuff, Gripfill. Cheap and never lets me down.

Gripfill is terrible the worst of the lot.
