I’ve got a few north face jackets and they good but this one is packable, packs into a nice ball in the pocket, it’s surprisingly warm because it’s 700 down fill yet light. The jacket is simple yet versatile easy to wash as well just use down cleaner and 40 mins in a dryer. At that price it’s a bargain can’t get a great quality down jacket for that price. My wife has a Uniqlo down jacket and that one is barely washable, can’t machine wash or dry (edited)

I don’t believe it’s waterproof going by the reviews on Amazon etc.,  but it is said to be a very warm, packable down jacket.

I would stick to regular sizing. I have a 40 chest and bought medium there’s still room for layering
