Is this likely to work with a 5600 out of the box?

I use this with a 5600. It has its quirks but overall has served me well. You probably will need a firmware update, but i've had mine for 3+ years and have done multiple firmware flashes; buying it now might mean it comes with more recent firmware that is compatible.

I've got the B450m Pro4 non F. It's been a great board for the last couple of years. Does everything I need it to. Currently running a 3600 overclocked to 4.2 @ 1.25 (under load the droop on this board drop ls it to about 1.2v), 5700xt and 32gb @ 3200mt/s.

Recently however the board has started doing an odd thing where on shut down it just immediately turns back on. I've tried latest bios and it didn't fix it. Going to clean install W11 soon, see if that helps. Might be a driver quirk who knows.

Top tip, the bottom pcie slot is 4x. You can get a riser for another NVMe drive. Works well. I've got 2x NVMe, an NGFF SATA drive and 2x mechanical drives in RAID1. All works well.

Top pcie 1x slot is ideal for WiFi / Bluetooth. I've got an intel WiFi 6 card in it.

so the bottom pcie slot is best for the GPU and the top one for the wifi card?

I had an old 1155 motherboard years ago that started to do that whole, turning on after I switched it off. I don't have a clue why it did it. Luckily it was so old I just upgraded.

If anyone can post a deal on a B650m or X670 motherboard that would be great as I already sold my 5800x and mobo for upgrade

I dont think there is much right now. AM5 boards seem very expensive.
If youve already sold your existing board and processor maybe a platform change? Move to intel? Some great deals on B660 and even Z690 boards. Could use your existing RAM too and get a 13th Gen Intel.

These should be under £50 by now. Bottom of the barrel motherboard from 4 years ago.
