    I paid £809 for a grade A one at John Lewis (it was box opened brand new), so this seems pricy in comparison

    Bought my M1 MacBook Air August 2021 for £530.. - Brand new open box. Sold my old MacBook Air early 2014 was in as new condition for £210;

    So it only cost me £320 to upgrade to M1. Couldn't be happier.

    It’s not bad, though it’s not a clear cut answer. It really depends on whether you can wait and I’m personally not sure about the seller.

    Apple sell the previous model, the M1, refurbished for £849.99 at the moment and while there is a speed difference, for basic users it won’t really make a huge difference,

    but if you’re specially after an M2 MacBook in the most popular colour (Midnight) it’s not a bad price from a company. I’ve seen personal sellers sell the 512gb model for around this on eBay, though, but then you’ve got a risk added. The 256gb M2 model has a slower SSD, not that it’s slow enough for most to notice, which the M1 doesn’t suffer from, though I’ve got one and for me it’s perfectly fine, I had an M1 before this.
