    This or Aldi’s version?

They are all basically the same and quite rubbish tbh. Too low and too shallow to be comfortable. Better off waiting for end of season sales and spending it a bit more for a nicer one

If you walk around among these at homebase you feel like a giant, I have no idea why they're made so low
    twistedpixel's avatar
Because to make them higher would cost more.

62.5 cm for the back is just above my knee ooft, very low

Is there a ratan brand that's actually any good? Like big puffy cushions, covering the arms too etc.

All these cheap ones look and feel very... well... cheap. There's no perceived quality.

I bought one last week called “Orlando 6 seat Modular” from Furniture box for £700. If you look at its listing on B&Q’s website the reviews are excellent. There’s also a 4 seat one and mine came with a little coffee table (not sure about the 4 seat one but probably).

My review? It’s still pretty cheap feeling but probably one of the better ones. They’re all cheaply built to be honest but this one isn’t too bad and feels sturdy. They estimate 45 minutes to 1 hour to assemble but that’s nonsense. I’m good at this stuff and it took me 4 hours and I couldn’t feel my fingers after. Something like 100 bolts to put in and some were very fiddly. The feet are ridiculous though. They’re plastic but with a thin strip of metal wrapped around and screwed in. Looks tacky so I removed all the metal strips. I might wrap each foot in silver duct tape which honestly would look better than the strips and won’t leave black plastic marks on my patio when the seats are moved around.

Overall the set looks quite nice. Not got the cushions on yet as it’s not quite warm enough to sit out on them yet.

I’ll add a picture to this comment if I remember later.
