Dina hand made Baklawa 220g £1.00 from farmfoods (Burnley). Short date 11/05/2023.
Unsure if it's national so good luck and enjoy this classic selection.
Usual price is around £1.99 so this is a fairy good price for 220g.

Can I ask everyone, are baklava not supposed to be made with honey rather than sugar syrup? All the supermarket versions use the sugar syrup, even the supposed high-end ones. The honey version is levels above for me.

Antepliler baklawa is made with clarified butter.. truly melt in the mouth. Can really tell the difference (note: I'm not affiliated with the said establishment)

As a turkish person I just can say this is not even related with baklava at all, this is puff pastry with 5kg sugar.

Same, was looking everywhere for the layla brand. Dina isn't anywhere near as nice.

You get what you pay for. The absolute best baklava in the SE can be found in Antepliler (Haringey Branch) the walnut one .. alongside the pistachio... Yum yum. I think it beats Patchi too... Although the latter is good, Antepliler takes the edge hands down (edited)
