Absolutely Insane Price.
Price now: £295.00

Voucher: palicomp.co.uk//30…buy
- just add the voucher to the same basket.
What's new:

3) Board updated from basic A520 to A520 Tuf -FREE
Considering this was a £300 MEGA - 1200 HEAT Deal
Now at £295 with pre-inc upgrades, insane.
Due to this being a completely new line, I have killed all previous 5600G by said firm.
- The entry package has an OEM Spec PSU, that is enough for VEGA 7 onboard graphics.
Because the Ryzen 5 5600G is a much better CPU then the likes of 4500/5500, adding a GPU to this machine is an excellent choice for non-builders.
But the key would be to have the correct PSU, (something hard to find on alt builders 5600Gs on the web at more cost)
Here are the ADDONS if u intend to desire 1) a higher PSU 2) plan on upgrading later.
Onsite boosters:
Power units:
+65 GIGABYTE 750W GOLD PSU (upto 4070*)
+40 CORSAIR TX550 GOLD PSU (upto 3060Ti*)

(not fussed about playing on high graphics or the latest games)
Also I have a spare GTX 960, could I chuck it in this build or does the PSU need upgrading? (edited)
I suggest changing it to the at least 700W Cit Fx Pro at £25 for that gpu, but it ain't much more for a higher graded one such as that TX550w at £15 on top of the previous, which will give u plenty of room for a graphics card like a 3060ti laters.
for a light gamer its more of a 1080 System, but it doesn't mean it cant do 1440.
one of my daughters has a 5600G under my old 4k monitor which is what i passed down to her,
for her needs its fine, (youtube, roblox (Potato need), Minecraft at worse case.
default vega = 1080 light for the full branch of many titles.
add that 960 will give u more performance, = light 2k very light across. (edited)
5600G has onboard graphics. lacks 4.0. (edited)
Would just be used for typical usage and for some 720-1080p gaming.
Otherwise:
B550M if u plan on upgrading the cpu again later for another am4 platform.
if not no.
well.
asus.com/uk/…us/
vs
asus.com/mot…-k/
part from the platform, is there really anything else, nothing major.
b550 takes 3600mhz ram, but again, gains nice but major advantage per value not so when u look at the bigger picture of cost. (edited)
1st basis we need to understand what can an onboard system offer.
But What does it mean in sales terms if u want something with more bite? how does it stack up if we add our own Graphics card.?
Lets for "simple life" we make a standing build for the talk.
£295 Post by myself, + TX550 at £40 + 1TB nvme boost at £25 = £360
-We could remove the storage £295 - £30 and add our own.
But let's use the £360 package for our base idea.
Graphics card market price builder: uk.pcpartpicker.com/pro…rd/
The current market price of a 6600 £206 with build = 566
The current market price of a 6600xT £260 with build = 620
The current market price of a 3060 £306 with build = 666
The current market price of a 3060ti £386 with build = 746
The current market price of a 6700xt £355 with build = 715
The current market price of a 3070 £483 with build = 868 (750W Giga instead)
The current market price of a 4070 £557 with build = 942 (750W Giga instead)
So what prebuilt that come with graphics card challenge any of this or come close:
5500/6600 at £579 - Close - 5500 just under 5600G, but option for 5600X at more cost.
5500/6650xt at £664 - no where near.
5600X / 3060 at £660 - Extra gain on X, to get within same cost, half drive load.
5600X / 3060TI at £720 Extra gain on X, -£20 half drive load to offset X over G..
5500/6700xt at £734 - (obvious that 5600X at 50) but adding 6700Xt to the 5600G calcs better then this atm.
3070 = sitting duck, market is all about 4070 atm, improvements will come again
5600X / 4070 at £999 / 1020(1TB) - £50 more, but G into X, initial drop on psu,
^ These are cracking prebuilts.
But if u want that undercut CPU, for value. adding a GPU = excellent undercut.
Bonus: u can get to play with the used market too, wait for even better GPU deals.
but these extra thrown in and a 5er off, are just insane.
see what else they have done.
in the AMD Adrenalin (FAC12)
which doesn't surprise me one bit.
price: £720 (when using voucher)
hmmm.. interesting,
think we all know what that is going to intend to battle, costco, 5600 at £689?
+30 for the X.
Loss on the nvme, but a boost on the A520 Type as this has the A520 tuff.
+25 SN350
+35 for the B550M
+25 TX550 and all the other boosters.
*if u want windows and desire the non x, go for AWD at Costco, if u want the X and u dont need windows and u desire to make the platform nice, go for palicomps.
which feels weird to say, normal palicomp has the windows advantage, have the tides turned, haha
Youtuber has tons of content pro/cons of this CPU for that need, certainly more helpful than i could write up on.

was looking for a for £sub 100 graphics card also for medium gaming if possible, tempted with some if the intel arc as can use for encoding (380 may stretch to 750 ) or just get a rx580 from aliexpress ?
Nice to see it come with a decent airflow mesh fronted case.
I felt they are trying to force me to go the qjump route, also despite saying when added to cart it says 3 years return to base warranty (with no charge shown and included in the price), then two further choices with premiums, they now say in the email there is only a 1 year rtb warranty despite this. What is the point of a 3 year rtb warranty, if they are only covering the parts for 1 year??
The email is a strange one, and worded oddly too, they are trying to get me to pay for qjump so my order will go out tomorrow, because, and I quote -
'Thank you for purchasing this PC from us. Please can you read this email and reply back to us by email to the below sections.
BUILD/TEST – You have gone with standard build/test speed. This means the PC will take approx 10 working days to be built and tested and then will be shipped out to you – at the moment we have a big backlog, so we are trying our best to stay within the 10 working days, but some are going over this time frame and with the time of year, more people are ordering and it is advised to add the QJUMP if you want your PC quickly – this means the PC will usually leave us next working day. Please also note DPD like all couriers at the moment are having delivery delays outside our control UK wide.
WARRANTY DEAL –As standard you get a return to base warranty with parts being being covered for 1 year. We are doing a special deal for customers who buy this spec currently. If you want you can do our 3 year carefree warranty deal with a reduced price of just £88 (usually £108), you will get 3 years hardware, software, free collect and return and technical support via email and telephone. We also have a service that if a part fails then we can arrange just to swap that part for you – anytime in the 3 years. Please let me know if you would like to add this package on and at the moment we are adding some upgrades onto the PC Free Of Charge.'
Surely encouraging people to qjump puts the regular orders further behind...? if they are already swamped how can they magically ship my order tomorrow? by putting others behind me? that's no way to do business imo!
check out this screen cap of the 3 year warranty seemingly supplied free (and other options charged for) - how is it now only 1 year?? surely this is not correct/legal?
(edited)
My knowledge on PC parts is very ancient so would appreciate help with my questions.
1. Does this have front USB ports? I googled the case and it seems to have them on top but I can't be sure.
2. The fans look bright and distracting. Can the lights be disabled?
3. How many sata devices can I attach? I'm planning to drop the SSD and use the SDD and HDD from my current PC.
4. Can I simply plug in my SSD with Windows 10 installed from my current PC and have it automatically work?
5. Can this manage 4K resolution when connected to a 4K TV?
6. Is there any benefit in me sticking the Radeon HD 5770 from my current PC into this? Or is it so old that the onboard graphics will trump it?
7. Is the difference between PCIe 3.0 (5600) and 4.0 (5600G) only important for top-end graphics cards?
Thanks in advance
2x3.0 1x2.0
2. The fans look bright and distracting. Can the lights be disabled?
Case is new, so not 100% completely bang on with it, but based on previous 1st player cases, hold reset disables. (u can ask them for confirmation)
3. How many sata devices can I attach? I'm planning to drop the SSD and use the SDD and HDD from my current PC.
Motherboard information:
asus.com/uk/…us/
4. Can I simply plug in my SSD with Windows 10 installed from my current PC and have it automatically work?
Yes
5. Can this manage 4K resolution when connected to a 4K TV?
Yep, but not really for the gaming aspect unless its roblox. but for general web usage n co yeah.
6. Is there any benefit in me sticking the Radeon HD 5700 from my current PC into this? Or is it so old that the onboard graphics will trump it?
onboard graphics on this are better. unless u need more monitor support? as ur card may have more ports, or type of ports available.
7. Is the difference between PCIe 3.0 (5600) and 4.0 (5600G) only important for top-end graphics cards
Actual very low card such as 6500XT pretty much bad at 3.0, an AMD Budget card work better on an intel CPU such as 12100F then amd own budget CPU ranges include 5600G/5500/4500 "i know, its quite unbelievable. we ain't talking a lot on new-generation cards really, plenty of videos 4.0 vs 3.0 "GPU" on the web. obvious 4.0 has other advancements such as faster drives.. (edited)
but not sure if I really need a second spare PC...
on top of my laptop, tablet and phone. (edited)
I noticed some old ones in the magazine which was for non-specials.
think i managed one method out of it, but their specials were my main tricks with some personal backdoor boosters.
and because i know their site in/out and I keep a tab on their new ranges i found some more since.
-
i presume its for an upcoming magazine deal, and I've stolen it or some other marketing trick, god knows.
-Same goes for that old Hellfire deal, went live in a mag for Xmas, but we had it on site from oct as it was hidden away in a separate area.
CCL used to do this, have main item builds and then use to have a back end in a sub-director for marketing purposes elsewhere.
so i believe it wont be a flash voucher at least, but i cant give u a expiry on it. (edited)
This is cheaper than the individual parts and built for you.
So… yeah it’s a hot deal.
if u want a system with windows direct:
hotukdeals.com/dea…309
£379.99 VS £295
85
- Windows
- 1TB Samsung
but their is a 1P promo,
that boost in that 700w but drop in case to the older flash.
= £380
- Windows
- 1TB Samsung
- non mesh case.
-700w
Vs
£295 stock
+25 1TB SN350
+25 700w
= 345
345 vs £380
mesh vs non mesh
1tb nvme vs 1tb faster nvme
no os vs os
same cpu/ram/watts now.
so to some... if u don't wanna install windows going for the older deal might work out better.
another way:
order the stock unit with zero changes, wait for the management pitch, and keep refusing it to the lowest u can get it for, and that does come with windows n extra psu upgrade in the package.
pretty much sums of many methods there, which is better depends on u..
1) self installer
2) easy of life deal - great if are going for some other options too. and don't mind a non-mesh case
3) the pitcher, n get it thrown in with some extra under their warranty booster. (edited)
Went for the standard and mentioned upgrades of 1Tb drive, 550w psu and added internal wireless. Came in at £380. Then added a warranty package with windows at £88 and got an external dvdrw and other stuff thrown in with it. Arrived last week and have a very happy son!!
if u have 1G, ur going to love it. (edited)
it does have more cores.
however unlike typical i5/r5 into i7/r7
- it does not have the typical speed increase per series.
usual one of the upsells from 5s to 7s "not just cores" where in this case it pretty much is "all about extra cores".
if u can find a use for it, nice.
u can add a M2, (one though)
out the two: use the m2 as a main windows drive, and have the SSD as the back up instead if you wish to keep it. (edited)
I got it £30 cheaper as I got an ssd the other day for his old pc, as well as the ARESGAME, AGV500 PSU, do you think it would be a good idea to swap the Ares one into this rather than the oem one, which is likely not quite as good? (edited)
They are quite flexible,
what though.
don't need to talk about drives/psu and the case is very good, the a520 tuf is more then enough for this, could ask for that b550m but to most its pointless unless u intend to flip another CPU into it laters, ram to 3600mhz is pointless without b550, could ask them to exchange the 5600g into 5600X (they don't carry nonx) which isn't a bad idea as long as u don't need the onboard.
so what I'm getting at, get ur thinking cap on, I'm a bit stuck.
Anyone managed to get it in PC Part Picker cheaper than £400?
As I certainly haven't lol.
Because the Ryzen 5 5600G is a much better CPU then the likes of 4500/5500, adding a GPU to this machine is an excellent choice for non-builders.
As the 5500 is the 5600G without the GPU addon.
its close-ish. but its not.
tomshardware.com/new…00g (edited)
-Top the PSU up to suit the gpu.
But depending on the deal on the GPU, going for a system with a GPU that has a 5600X as standard would be a better fitment further up the GPU spec u go.
at the lower end, no bother, or if the GPU alone price is to good to be true then u can have an ultimate value system using this 5600G as a base for non builders.
Certainly something i always mention, and something u need to consider
TX550W gets my personal recommendation for up to a RTX3060Ti.
3070 i suggest 650W, but its only £25 from the TX550 to get a nice Gigabyte GOLD V2 750W so i suggest that and that would be my suggestions advice for the 4070
TX550 High Quality gold, yes u can, yes it be fine, and it will at a higher curve rating and that psu will be doggie for it, its £25 for the higher so common if u intent for a 4070... whats £25.
Literally for ease of buying is this any good as is? Or for a bit more, say up to £500 all in what would I need to add from the options list to have a decent if lower spec pc to run steam/roblox/maybe few others like fortnite etc?
Any advice is appreciated!
1. A motherboard has WIFI 6
2. Change to 5600X
3. Not need graphic card now but will add one in future
4. The psu upgrade to supporting the addition of display card,eg 3060
Do you have any suggestion?
But I'll have a look over them requirements soon.
