It's crazy to me that this costs more than twice as much as a 7600X. Yet is only 5% faster on average in 4k gaming. 14% in 1440p, and 19% in 1080p. For more than twice the damn cost... Ugh.

Nice, was waiting for the price direct from Amazon to come down. If I get this, I'm just waiting on a decent motherboard to come down in price.

I had ordered earlier today thinking it wouldn't go down, unfortunately already dispatched so have ordered it again and will have to return the first one.

Not even kinda. They're all like £250. Might as well just go for MATX.

nice as of now but I would ideally want bite at £350. C’mon keep it going downnnnnn

Starting to piece together an upgrade. Any reason to go for this over the 7700x?

I've gone for the 7900x. Cheaper and all round better performance than the 7800x3d. Also less likely to set your system on fire. Yes it's a marginal FPS loss but the extra money you save goes to GPU.

Missed it, shame. Out of curiosity though, what happens if you order a component with a game but decide to return unopened (deliberating upgrade and was going to buy at lower price and return sealed if decided against)

you can actually open it use it, claim game and then return within 30 days just say its not as expected.

I did that in 2019 with an RTX 2060 just to get MW’19 for free lol
