Wow, a quarter size box was voted super hot at 99p last week so this must be roasting!!

Never tried it, will buy if I see it tomorrow, looks nice. (edited)

I tried this brand and it’s not like the baklawa you can buy fresh at the shop. I found this dry, crispy and honey tasting. Wouldn’t buy it again. Great price for the weight. However, I’ll stick with the baklawa bakery near me. Fresh tasting with different fillings, so worth it! 1kg of pistachio baklawa is around £22. Usually buy around special occasions

All gone at Birkenhead, both sized packs . It was work checking though.
Home Bargains sometimes sells them @ £7.99

People who complain its not real baklawa probably eat frozen pizza or carbonara with mushrooms and peas. Its not bad at all

I've tried these. Probably the worst baklava i've ever tasted

Scorching deal. Had some of this stuff recently from Costco and was very decent for long life off the shelf stuff. At this price it's amazing!

Obviously no Mr Knafah, but this is a genuine hotukdeal!

Cheap and hot deal, but to call this baklava is a bit of a stretch. It's a bit like long life milk Vs fresh milk, no real comparison.

Great deal, heat given. But gotta say this thing is not baklava, just has a baklava label on it :/

Certainly not Turkish but at £1.99 certainly worth trying then go out and get the real thing

Amazing deal…. Wish it was national… but then again maybe not… as I’d eat it all in one go

    Bargain
4 slices at eat in restaurants are about £5+
    CardboardCutout's avatar
That's hardly a fair comparison. These are mass produced.

Unfortunately it's just cheap sugar. Nothing more and definitely not close to real baklava

    Absolutely corking deal! Great find.

Blimey you can easily pay that for a piece - pity stockpiling is not a good idea (as you'd eat it)

    farmfoods deals are normally national

But Sutton doesn’t carry a lot of the items unfortunately. The fridge section is tiny

Is it just a local deal or national?

I remember a few years ago at a market stall in Sheffield a Greek chap made the most heavenly baklava imaginable. Then there was the chap who made his own dolmades. Such things dreams are made of.

These can be awful if they're stale, pretty decent if they're not though.

will be nothing like the legit stuff but then again the real stuff is now going for £25 for 1kg

Grrr, none in the Filton store. This is not the best stuff, but very nice for mass made.
