5 mins of playing a game and you will think why.Rose tinted specs aren't a good thing.

If I remember correctly, game saves maybe weren't a thing? Some of these older games, that I was actually pretty OK at when younger, are brutally hard nowadays. It's actually off-putting for me, and aye my memories of them are definitely better than the reality. Probably just getting old (edited)

At university my mate & I played Battle Squadron hooked up to his hi-fi in 2-player mode night after night after night for weeks before we finally finished it. The neighbours didn't like us one bit

Sorely tempted by this, especially after reading up on Amiga Game Selector 2.0, thanks to

One one hand it's so cute on the other I was fed up with having to hook a USB hub and keyboard so mine is boxed and on my retro display wall and I'm back to using FS Uae on pc.

    I use the GamePad tho.

It's a decent set up if you don't need keyboard, I've literally turned mine into a CD32 machine, tho as I say it's currently in the box on display.

Agreed....might never happen but needs to drop to circa £50 and I'll pull the trigger but when it remains closer to £100 it's still too rich for me when I can do more or less the same with emulators on an old lappy. (edited)

I'm guessing the price will only drop that low if the bring out a Maxi version. But then no one will want the Mini !

Oh man that is beautiful! An A1200 with twin external floppy drives, a quality Zipstick joystick AND a boxed C64 under the desk! And what a pile of software! I take it all the disks are in a case elsewhere, otherwise it’d be a nightmare if you want to get a game from lower in the stack, right? (edited)

I still have my old Amiga 500+ in a cupboard somewhere.
    Those were the days.
Even have a big box of games on floppy, we had a market stall back in the day selling pirate (and genuine) games. (edited)

I love how you put "and genuine" in brackets.

The whole Amiga market was pivoted around xcopy pro.

Crazy that my 8 year old will look back on the one X we have in the same way I think of my amiga 600.

I would love one (as someone else said still got my old A1200 under the bed) but for what is essentially an extremely low computing power device £90 is still way overpriced.

Remember the (admittedly not great out of the box but fine when hacked) PSone mini ended up being £16.

Really this should be about £40 and I will bite. (edited)

Its well worth £80 though. Has to be fave mini of the lot, just looks fantastic. Mouse is just too damn cool and using on daily pc. Game list not best but easy to add to roster. Deffo no regrets with this one

As tempting as it is. I'm still waiting for this to drop to around the £60 mark. I just don't think it's worth this. I had a 500, 600 and 1200 back in the day.

Picked this up on day one. Adding all my favourite games I played as a kid brought back so many memories. Picked up the C64 mini on the cheap for the joystick, but would prefer a quick shot. If you loved the Amiga you will not regret buying this.

To keep cost and size down. This is way smaller than the real A500 and you can easily add one yourself by USB.

This was £79.99 just a few weeks ago on Amazon. Oddly it doesn't show up on CamelCamel at that price, but it definitely was, as I remember being sorely tempted.

This is the best price currently, but it has definitely been lower than this and I suspect it could drop further in future.
