Grrr, shame it's Costco, I'd jump on this otherwise, I wonder if Amazon would price match? I like the Tempspike, looks solid but the I've read the app isn't anywhere near as good as the Meater one

I’ve got a TempSpike, app works ok, it’s neither brilliant or poor. The probe itself is excellent though, use it with my Ninja Woodfire

Not suitable for use in sous vide, in case you’re wondering. A real shame because these get good reviews and this is a great price for it.

If that’s your use case, this one is also excellent: Deal: ThermoPro TempSpike 150m Range Truly Wireless Meat Thermometer, Bluetooth Meat Thermometer for Air Fryers Cooking, Grilling and Sous Vide, Food Thermometer Wireless with Smart APP for BBQ Oven Smoker amzn.eu/d/j6bahYw

Edit: just noticed the ThermoPro has an extra 30% off voucher at the moment making it £52.95. Absolute steal! (edited)

Why would you want a wireless thermometer for sous vide?

Great kitchen accessory, thoroughly recommend, especially at this price. My only criticism is it seems to take a little bit too long to generate the forecasted finished time

I got.the temp spike last week for £52. Not used it yet. I wonder if this is better.

You could try to seduce her with this wireless probe.

A good but of kit, I know it’s a technological limitation, but the lack of only ambient temperature use is a real let down with this

Idk why u can't use it in sous vide if it's dishwasher safe, any ideas? (edited)

The IP rating probably doesn't cover it for being submerged, but a dishwasher is ok because it's just a power shower.

Is this accurate enough to take the temperature of a human or will it not go down that low?

Depends how well done you prefer your human I guess

I find the connectivity a right pain compared with my old Maverick ET-733, the connection is continuously dropping when its in my Kamado, and i think a second probe to measure the oven temp is better than it being integrated.
Maybe i've missed something, but it also does an annoying beep at your when it disconnects, and seemingly no way of turning that sound off, but keeping sound alerts for cook readiness. Awful if i'm trying to sleep

Great for a few months, but starts to lose connection and fall apart after some time. Ended up returning mine

Just a heads up. I purchased this from Costco two weeks ago at the higher price of £99.99. Don't forget Costco offer a price promise guarantee...so I've just got £30 back - RESULT!

Great bit of kit for the money. I use mine in my Kamado bbq and in the oven for cooking meat.

FWIW I picked mine up on Black Friday on Amazon for the same price

If your meat has wires in it, you're doing something wrong!
