I really rate my one of these. It's one of my favourite bits of Makita kit! It's way better than any of the car tyre inflators I've had, absolutely leagues above any of the Ring ones which are naff by comparison.

I've used it for all sorts of stuff; inflating car tyres, bike tyres, loads of footballs (took it to my kids team practice to get all the balls at the right pressure), airbeds, paddling pools etc etc. I paid about £40 for mine, but even at £53 if you already have Makita batteries/chargers it's well worth it IMO.

Having had both it’s worth holding out for the 181Z i tested back to back and it wasn’t far off half the time of the 180 blowing up a car tyre from flat.

These are excellent. Shame they have gone up. They were on sale for around £40 at one point.

They're OK. Not excellent in my opinion.
The valve is terrible and very cheap. The pump itself is very loud and you have to constantly hold the button down while pumping ( you can solve this with a strip of velcro wrapped around the handle )
I bought mine under £40 and wouldn't say its worth much more than that.

Got it for £31 this time last year. Very handy.

These are just OK for occasionsl use, cycle tyres etc. Very slow, and you have to keep your finger on the trigger, risking getting run over by a truck on the hard shoulder! Takes several minutes to inflate a car tyre. I bought an automatic 12v ring inflator for the car.

Great stand a lone unit (if you use the Makita platform) but not the best price.

As a driver I use it to check and maintain vehicle tyre pressures in the compound.
