Looks a decent spec. 3 burner Gas BBQ with 20% off currently and a further £20 saving with code. 10 year guarantee with the hood and 3 with the burners, so a good warranty, reviews seem positive and piezo ignition and flame tamers. Weber equivalent would cost you upwards of £300 more for this sized model.

The John Lewis 3-burner gas barbecue is perfect for medium gatherings in the garden.

  • 3-burner gas barbecue cooks for up to 6
  • Each burner can be lit individually with no batteries required
  • Lid thermometer
  • Warming rack - use to keep food warm or as a secondary cooking area
  • Base and middle shelf plus 2 side shelves
  • Transporter wheels
  • Easy to keep clean

Additional Information:

Cook for up to 6
3 gas burners can cook for a sizeable group. The BBQ comes with a warming rack to help you time the meal to perfection.

Built-in thermometer
The in-built lid thermometer helps you to keep an eye on the cooking temperature while adjustable knobs enable full control of the heat.

Handy shelves
Side shelves are ideal for keeping food, crockery and BBQ tools to hand. The base and middle shelves provide even more storage.

Care and storage
Easy to clean with a brush (sold separately) after the BBQ has cooled, it's also designed to store away without fuss. 2 large wheels make it simple to manoeuvre and stable when using.

Guarantee
Hood: 10 years; Ignition, manifold, valve and burners: 3 years; Other: 1 year.

Gas cylinder
To fuel your gas barbecue, we recommend propane / patio gas cylinder bottles ranging in sizes from 3kg to 13kg. Check for bottles that fit standard barbecue clip-on regulators. Hose and regulator are included. Safely leak test all gas connections on your new grill before use.

You could buy some similar sized ones and cut them down. I did it for my last bbq, got a few extra years out of it that way

Bought on the weekend and was supposed to get a notification to collect Tuesday. Still waiting.... its a great looking bbq though, really sturdy piece of kit, just hope I get it in time for the bank holiday weekend. Annoyingly, I didn't get the additional £20 off

Could these withstand the rain? Or would I need a cover?

Looking into getting a new bbq but not sure on gas or charcoal. Want gas for convenience but not sure on how to use them!

I can't see the grill size on the John Lewis one (I would contact them to find out) if it is comparable to the Tower 56 x 42cm I would go for the JL one for the Storage area, 10 year warranty, build quality and flame tamers.

If you think you'll use the side burner (I have one on my Genesis and used it only twice in over 12 months) and the grill size is much bigger than the JL one than the Tower may suit you better
